Ghoul. Don't be turned off by the masks (yeah, masks) and comic book fare. Kind of a joke band but a great one. Members of Impaled

Damn, this is one of the best grind bands I have heard this year

OWEN HART

"youll see 8 year olds in hell" is by far the best song on the newest TCKF. i cant wait for earth control to come out, i hope it sounds like the song i mentioned, and not their older stuff.

Superhappy doom time.  Listen to metal right now.  12am-2am cst.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Did anyone see "until the light takes us" ?
Kinda a fan documentary about the Black Metal Scene in Norway during the 90ies, church burnings etc?

I lived in Oslo for three years during that time  and just realized that I saw one of Mayhems first shows...

Oh and watch the movie it is pretty good ( leaves out some stuff here and there, but Fenris is a good dude)

yeah I've heard those reviews as well, it seems more like a fan film, but after watching it I couldn't help but be entranced in Vargs Aura ( despite the fact that he at least had very questinable views) and Fenris as well,...
Maybe it really has to do with the fact that i witnessed the bands and the burnings firsthand while living there.
It was weird to hear interviews with all those dudes years later

it had its moments. the varg stuff was definitely great. the church burning montage and him talking about that time and what black metal became was all pretty awesome to hear/see. just as a whole it wasn't very concise, and there was a lot of irrelevant shit in there.

it was worth a watch, but i was expecting something else i guess.

Cattle Decapitation killed it last night.
Suffocation was great too, the vocalists' hand gestures are hilarious.
Devourment, from Dallas, really blew me away. They had to play on this tiny stage but probably got the crowd going the best. Dudes were getting tossed everywhere. Their set ended with some guy getting his ass beat, good times.
