the festival was so sick! i lasted from 1ish to midnight (11 hours of metal is very very tiring) blackbreath EHG and baptists were the best and everyone else was some degree of sick.

Yes sir!  I got it a few weeks ago, plus I have the extra track, "Curse of Humanity"
damn i ordered it almost two weeks ago and i still have no word as to when it shipped/is going to ship or anything, and i've been slowly losing my mind waiting for it - just listening to that one track over and over in the power of the riff sampler is giving me such high hopes for the record.  i'm sure it doesn't disappoint.

i ordered it through southern lord so im going to probably have to email them to see whats up, and i'm expecting it to be absolutely fucking awesome.  i was really looking forward to their show in brooklyn next week supporting converge, until the date was changed and they had to drop out of it.  i'm sure they fucking slay live.

This might be my favorite album of the year- black metal band False from Minnesota.?  Here's the review:

http://www.lukephysioc.com/blog/false-untitled/

nice review and really feeling this album so far. i've listen to the first track (or side) twice and keep getting annoyed because i haven't made it through without being interupted. seems like everytime i get to the epic slow part someone walks into my home office... that said i think intense is definitely a good way to describe this ablum.

Bought this when it came out 3 years ago and it still sounds just as good now as it did then. Their new album "Rekreatur" is alright, but seems less passionate with the new vocalist and drummer.

I'm drunk.

I just order "God Is War." I was going to pre-order "The Hunter," but the only place to get it is Mastodon's website, which is fine, but it's $50 because the only thing you can buy is a CD/DVD extended version with a bunch of other stuff that I don't want.

same here, i woulda gotten it if they threw a t shirt in but i'll just go buy it at best buy for 10 bucks.

aside from the new APMD i've been pretty much addicted to the new revocation album chaos of forms, definitely gonna be a front runner for album of the year imo.

I worked a Toxic Holocaust show last night. If you like thrashier stuff and aren't familiar, you should definitely check them out. Nice dudes, and before they played their last song, they said "no fucking bullshit encores". I can appreciate a band not trying to milk it.

Because you can't kill and idea, and we will not be ruled!

the visuals are also mad visual yo
FTW

Has anyone heard new Anthrax album, Worship Music? Its up on torrents. I just listened to it today, and I was really expecting something worse, it wasnt that bad at all. And Belladona still has it.

So Mastodon has released another song off of The Hunter. I really have no idea where they are going with this album. This is nowhere near as good as "Black Tongue," but better than "Curl of the Burl." Lyrics are kinda weak though. I wish they would stop releasing tracks though so I actually have something new to listen to when I get the album.

i loved death magnetic but obviously the main 4 albums are their best - everyone knows that.  slayer fucking killed it and i missed most of anthrax's set due to the lines being so insanely huge to get in so i missed caught in a mosh  :-[ but the last few songs i saw were great.  joey belladonna's still got it.
