the record's not gonna be out for another month, so i'd say wait a couple weeks before looking for leaks or downloads.  i definitely cant wait to get it, the sword's one of my favorite bands

Another new Pig DEstroyer song.  Kills.

http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/14311-the-diplomat/

The vox are a bit different but I like it. Pig Destroyer never disappoints. Kind of bummed Pitchfork was in some way involved with me hearing this.

The vox are different because Jason Netherton and Richard Johnson are on that song w/ JR.

Yeah, I actually read that a bit after I posted that.  Misery Index are on tour w/ Cannibal Corpse and hopefully I'll get to go see them in November. Fuckin stoked (last time I saw Corpse was w/ Dying Fetus and Devourment, so that's going to be hard to top).

Eh, thought I had the 'Worms' record but can't find it. I'll ask a pal to email it to me and let you know.

Haha,no. I actually never made the connection until you mentioned it. I actually got the name from a news article about a homeless woman who dressed up and hung outside a bank all day acting like an employee (carrying a briefcase full of fast food containers, talking into a coke can as a cell phone, etc.), and void of any ideas for a screen name, I chose this one. I do know Will from TLAL though and you all should all their shit. Sick/Tired and xBraniax kids, take note!

A pretty interesting little documentary. Especially because I've been into Wrest a lot lately and I think he's a really interesting person.

http://www.vice.com/en_ca/noisey-vbs/one-man-metal-part-1

Also, finally got the last 777 album from Blut Aus Nord and have listened to it a good amount lately. It's still black metal based, but incorporates a lot of dark ambient/atmospheric and Godflesh-esque industrial stuff. More so than some of their other ambient and industrial tinged works. But it's still really good and although it might mot be my favorite BAN album, nor my favorite 777 album, it makes sense with the arch of the trilogy and was a well thought-out and well composed finale.

Haha. I'd be down. Is he still in Chicago? I keep hearing that he goes back and forth between here and San Francisco. After I got into Leviathan, I read that he was living above Taylor Street Tattoos for a while, which I pass all the time with my family when we go to one of my favorite restaurants.

Yeah he's in Chicago now, I believe.  He's recording shot for Twilight, I would assume, and tattooing.  I know he's moving back to SF at some point.

Hmmmm...Icee...

And yeah. That video of Jarvis is insane. I remember reading an interview with Scott Hull where he said that when they were trying out Jarvis, Scott Hull sent him demos for the Book Burner songs with a drum machine and Adam learned how to play them exactly, including the mistakes from the programming. I vaguely remember Scott saying that they didn't even need to play a click track or the other layers of the song for him because Jarvis was keeping perfect time and everything. He's insanely good.

With all of the talk of Pig Destroyer's new one, I finally just saw the 2nd disc of the deluxe edition or whatever it is.

Disc 2: "Blind, Deaf, and Bleeding" (Deluxe Editions Only)

1. Depression (Black Flag)

2. Wolfs Blood (Misfits)

3. Lights Out (Angry Samoans)

4. Can't Tell No One (Negative Approach)

5. Deny Everything (Circle Jerks)

6. Betray (Minor Threat)

7. Who Are You? (Void)

Seriously disgustingly awesome choices for covers. "Depression" "Can't Tell No One" and "Who Are You?" Fuck yes!

Part 2 of the One Man Metal documentary is up.

http://www.vice.com/noisey-vbs/one-man-metal-part-2

No idea that Wrest was so into skating. And I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to interview Scott Conner. It was kind of a relief to finally have the host just ask him if he dislikes people.

Holy shit. I just googled his guest board and I totally remember seeing it. No idea it was the same guy as Wrest though. I only vaguely knew of Leviathan when it came out. Stupid young me.

EDIT: Did anyone else pre-order Book Burner from Relapse? And if so, have you gotten your copy yet? I'm still waiting on mine and it's killing me.

Ok cool. I'm fine with it as long as I get it the day it's out. It's just a heart-wrenching process walking to the mailbox and then walking back empty handed.

Scorpion-that all sounds awesome man. PxDx is so good live. You must have caught the record release party. I wanted to buy a bundle, but I really liked the "Stab me again" shirt and that wasn't one of the options.

Yeah, it's super intense. Follows the lyrics pretty much exactly. Not sure how I feel about it though. I guess feeling unsettled was what they were going for but it seemed like it was grotesque for no other reason. But then again, I'm not a huge fan of gore lyrics that are so obviously trying to just be shocking.

Finally got the new Pig Destroyer album.  It's amazing musically.  It gets stuck in your head and is super heavy too. My only complaint are the lyrics. A few of them seem a little too straightforward, but some of the other ones are the same quality expected from J.R. Hayes.
