I really dig it, much more so than Spiral Shadow.  They have definitely taken a different direction with the cold wave/minimalist type breaks but the super drawn out psych/sludge/doom was kind of getting tedious and played anyway.  To me it is really listenable, but still with those killer Kylesa layers.  It has been one of my favorites this year.

I've been meaning to listen to Cultes Des Ghoules.

I just got the Standing On A Floor Of Bodies and Hiroshima Vacation split cassette along with thedowngoing's oeuvre (they're a noisegrind project).

If you like atmospheric black metal, listen to Dressed In Streams.  This EP is awesome.  I was lucky to pick up one of the last cassettes of it.  And now I'm just waiting for Handmande Birds to rerelease their previous stuff on CD(-R).

Gorguts put out another new song from their new album. Easily in the top 3 metal albums of this year. This band is so fucking crushing and brilliant.

Cultes Des Ghoules is excellent. Void Meditation Cult is one of my favorites. The LP is just the Sulfurous Prayers and then the Sperm of Antichrist stuff, right?

Local death metal band, Bone Sickness is worth checking out. Old school death metal.

Definitely one of my favorite metal bands going right now.  Bone Sickness just nail that early death metal era.

Also love their label mates Lycus.  Really talented and epic doom with some black elements.

I'm waiting to pick up the new Gorguts before I listen to anymore.  I'm not a huge death metal fan, but I like what I've heard so far.

Just picked up the Sapthuran/Leviathan split.  I'm not a huge split fan, but I was reading the reviews once I found out I could get it for $7 and everyone said Wrest's tracks were amazing, so I figured why not?  Also got my copy of A Silhouette in Splinters today so that's awesome.  Finally got all of his full-lengths now.

Also picked up the blue vinyl edition of Blut Aus Nord's The Work Which Transforms God.  It looks awesome.  Amazing artwork and my first colored vinyl.  Vindsval said that he wasn't releasing a vinyl edition of the album until it was absolutely perfect, so I couldn't pass it up.  All of my vinyls are BAN ones, but I'm going to start picking up some other ones here and there...despite not having a turntable yet.

Gorguts rule and they play death metal different. I don't care for much death metal either outside of the classics and what not, but Gorguts are just insane.

I read around the beginning of the year that Leviathan has a new album coming out this year on Profound Lore ... hope its true!

I'm really digging this. It's got some ethereal, twisting death-doom vibes to it that I really like. The drumming is incredible.

Saw the Sword last night.  They played Age of Winters from start to finish, then a decent encore.  Castle and American Sharks opened, both impressed.

and

Sharks were really rad.

Hey guys.
My band Bedowyn (pronounced Bedouin) just finished our first EP. Figured I'd post it here as I always peruse this thread.

Feel free to stream it here.

Thanks in advance if you choose to listen.
