Slayer on Fallon.

Haven't cared about anything they've done post-Seasons, but this sounds pretty spot on.

AMAZING/hilarious footage of the mighty Beherit playing live at what appears to be some kind of shopping mall.  Kinda makes their evil mystique seem... not so evil.  Still, pretty rad to see.

Found this incredibly bad-ass live set of Repulsion back at their peak in a sweaty, underground hole back home in Michigan.  The energy in this off the charts.  Would've killed to be there:

I always get a chuckle out of how OVERLY serious black metal took/takes itself, only to be reminded that it's influences were just a bunch of pimple faced/dirt stache having kids whose parents dropped them off at gigs.  Listening to Drawing Down the Moon as I type this and it still rules over most of what came after.

Not that I know of, but I do remember seeing a photo of them in the book Choosing Death (a must have if you haven't) where one of them was rocking the No Gods, No Masters shirt.

For me, Sepultura was pretty untouchable up to and including Arise.  Morbid Visions and Schizophrenia are death/thrash classics.

That entire Brazilian scene was untouchable during that time... Sepultura, Vulcano, Holocausto, Mutilator, Sextrash and Sarcafago were, like above mentioned Beherit, doing it way better than most of what came afterwards.

Should be going to see Cannibal Corpse in March. What are some of their stand-out albums?

The first 3 in order: Eaten Back To Life, Butchered At Birth, Tomb of the Mutilated.  The Bleeding is good, too, but those first 3 are monsters.  Anything with Chris Barnes on vocals.

Not sure what they sound like these days but I'd go if they played near me!

But posting here is perfectly acceptable too.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Anybody ever get into Death/Doom?  Don't listen to it very often but occasionally it fits a certain mood:

This is for all you drummers out there.

First, Matt Griener from August Burns red is one the best, mos technical drummer I’ve ever heard. Feel free to disagree.

Edit: By the way, that was a from a show where they played the album that song was from in its entirety and I believe that was the last song so his consistency  after playing 9/10 songs is impressive.

Here’s a different song song from the same set.

Second, I don’t know if anyone follows Howard Stern but the fucking redneck who licked his co worker’s taint and gets calls from his dad is a beast!!!

And lastly I’ll leave you with The Charn. Not the best drummer but his stamina is impressive.

That "redneck who licked his co-worker's taint" is Richard Christy who played on Death's "Sound of Perseverance" and both of Control Denied's records, show some fucking respect, kook.

A long time ago I was into August Burns Red and such, my music taste expanded a lot since, But lets's not derail this thread...

new PRIMITIVE MAN album:

Straight up nihilistic/negative/caustic sound.
