it sucks when a legit skater gets cut so some kids wearing their sisters stretch pants get on. it sucks that skating has become so corporate that skating is actually EQUAL to marketing! this dude skated everything. but his pants arent tight enough or he doesnt fake being a junkie enough or some other lame shit.

Yea, it sucks that marketing is just about or on par with the actual skating nowadays, but it was bound to happen when you have so many people on the same level with their skating. The industry can't afford to sponsor everyone, so they have to pick and choose what skaters sell and what don't. Yea, its lame, but skateboarding is just like every other corporation, they want to make money.
