Early Minutemen is fuckin golden

Don't be a fucking dummy. ALL Minutemen is fucking golden. Plus everything Mike Watt has done since D. Boon died too.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Some classics of German punk rock (aka Deutschpunk):

Russian punk rock: (corny video but still cool in a way)

This song pretty much summed up punk rock for me as a kid. I know it's not written by the Sex Pistols but(t) fuck it.

I'm aware that the Sex Pistols are a love-them-or-hate-them kind of band but to me they're fucking awesome despite all the bullshit that went down.

Now this might sound stupid , and some of the bands are just connected to punk rock in sub genres

Anyways I got into punkrock at a early age , never liked punk much and rock was only kinda doing it along with metal . The mix of good lyrics , slightly faster pace with still good instrument playing .  Ahhh yes punk rock . Was alot of good stuff in mid 90s skate vids like
411 and TWS and Trasher

Rancid

NOFX

CIV

Bad Religion

Good Riddance

Apparently Wattie from the Exploited just recently had a heart attack while they were playing a show in Portugal. Pretty gnarly. Hope he's doing alright.

Because you can't kill and idea, and we will not be ruled!

Back when Sirius first started - they used to have an hour on Sundays Nights on Ch. 26 "left of center" radio station with "the cosmic commander". they didn't even have a punk station or anything at the time.
I think another name he went by was Fat Harold, think he was from Philly. I think he was the hardcore movie.
I'd get blazed and write down all the tracks he'd play. He played really good shit I had never heard of.

Oh man, I can talk about punk for hours. First got into it back in the 7th grade and I've been a fan since.
I'm not really as into it as I was in middle school and all throughout my high school years (been more into 80s/90s indie rock and old school rap in the past few years), but I still find myself listening to all my old favorite punk albums all the damn time.

When it comes to punk I pretty much love it all, but I definitely like early 80s hardcore(Zero Boys, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, MDC, Reagan Youth, JFA, Articles of Faith, Dayglo Abortions, etc) and early/mid 90's punk the most (Crimpshrine, screeching weasel, Mr. T Experience, J Church, Gaunt, Sicko, Scared Of Chaka, Dillinger Four, Discount, Radon, Tiltwheel, Leatherface, etc). There were so many good bands that came out of the early/mid 90s that definitely got overlooked a lot.

Also, my favorite punk band of all time would probably have to be Jawbreaker, so I also love any Jawbreakerish sounding band.
