can't fuck with blacksheep one bit.  store is tight and anytime i've rolled into there everyone is cool.  ditto with endless grind in raleigh.  not so ditto with that fuckin vertical urge place

Vertical Urge does suck, but if you want to go get shoes and clothes, they got a shit-ton. I'd rather go to Endless to get shoes, but they normally don't even have them in my size.

and this one's a bit farther but one of the best http://flatspotskateshop.blogspot.com/

Backing that, Busey! Flat Spot and Boredem are the only two shops that anyone should really consider supporting in the 905 area.

http://flatspotskateshop.blogspot.com/ - Hamilton, Ontario

http://boredemskate.blogspot.com/ - Waterdown, Ontario

As for companies out of the area; these guys rule - plain and simple...

best skate shop i've been to in all my years. anthony correra has done a great job. slim selection of choice goods and a super chill atmospher. it's not uncommon to walk in on a game of skate going down in the shop, they have chillin area w a big screen with ea skate and also a ping pong table for the heavy lurkers. good music, art work and beer round things out. always stoked when i have an excuse to stop by and holla at the homies.

i got more of a chuckee cheese vibe in that place.  they had mad snowboard boots and arcade games.  i heard stories how they just bought up some of the local affection.  endless was/still is sick.  any place where they take a random out of towner and just invite them to parties and to go skate, definitely friendly place.

Kinetic holds it down. Even though it's located in Delaware, most of the employees and lurkers live in Philly and everyone there skates legit. It's also refreshing to go into a shop where everyone knows their stuff and yet they're still nice to people. None of that cool guy, too cool to talk to kids shit in there.

Love skateboards out of Kitchener, ON.

you're joking, right? shameless, shameless, self promotion. the boards are fucking terrible too, and the artwork is really emo. i wasnt feeling the boards that arthur was putting out but at least his graphics are really good and at least he is trying out different manufacturers. it was sick when the original owners ran it but seeing as it is run by the twins now it is most likely to go out of business, just like equinox, shipwreck, true love,hq, etc. as soon as those guys touch a business it turns to shit. no offense, but its no coincedence when it happens that many times. there are ones i dont even know about too.

there's two "shops" here, one is owned by a guy that used to skate 5 years ago then UFC got big now he's an MMA fight homo and his sister runs the shop, every time I go there they only have Monke boards, which is like the worst fucking brand ever i wish it would die
then the other shop is a "lifestyle" shop that sells street wear stuff like 10 deep and obey and all that, but they have dlxsf shit so i shop there and they give me 25% off. they also charge 45 dollars for t shirts though...I live in the middle of nowhere basically

First we got Sunday Skate Shop in Buffalo. They have a killer team and the dude that runs it is awesome.  The pic is of JP who runs the shop.

http://www.sundaybuffalo.com/

And we have Invasion Skateboards. They are good guys and teach the kids to not be douche bags.  They have good designs and good skaters.

Post up your local stuff, it's nice to see different skaters and different cities.
I used to deal with JP from SUnday when I worked at a shoe company.  By far the best dude in skateboard retail.  Every ounce of his being goes to promoting/advancing skateboarding in Buffalo and everywhere else.  Mad props to him...

JP is pretty much the nicest guy in skateboarding as far as I've seen. His shop is a family and his friends are his family. Proud to know him and his crew.

I hit up Eastern Boarder in Nashua, NH. Check the sig.

Boardwalk Skateshop in Woburn, MA holds it down too. Kind of new, but they're chill. Need more product variety though.

The Invasion guys just lowered all of their prices due to a crappy economy. All their decks are 28 bucks now. I'm so stoked! I picked up 2 decks yesterday online and got both of them today. They are about an hour from my house.

If you want a good deck make sure to get one, they fucking rock. www.invasionskateshop.com
