I usually rock flat boards, and I like a square-ish nose and tail. I don't like them pointy. And I like a big, tall nose.

Right now I'm rocking a 7 7/8" Cardiel "Rasta" board. Like the modern version of the Hippie Stick? It's concave-ier than what I've been used to, but it's fine.

Crailtap 8's are really the perfect shape and concave, it's a shame the wood is so bad.

For awhile I rode 7.75 Mariano Girls and now I have a roberts chocolate, I try to be consistent with my boards but if I cant get it I just look for a board with not too much concave and a nose and tail that aren't to small and pointy.

I think it's a 7.8 by 32... I've never gotten the same board twice, but this deck is so perfect that I might have to hunt down another one.

I just ride shop decks because, apparently, they use DLX wood. Whether or not, I don't give a shit, they're durable.
I have always been here before.

I've been riding the shop's boards and they are really good.  8.5 by 32.25 or so with a longer wheelbase. Just throwing this out there,  but is there any chance somebody has ridden syndrome's 8.5 board and has any feedback on it?

i really like arto's shape, i havent had an alien board of his but i've had a few arto flip boards, i read in an interview that it's an updated version of a prime shape, idk i like his shape though, perfect nose and tail.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

I know a lot of people hate on mini-logo's, but their K-12 #100 shape (8 x 31.875) is one of the best feeling boards I've ever ridden. I buy it whenever I can find it in shops, but they don't really sell minilogo's anywhere these days except for at mall shops like Zumiez, which sucks. One of my local shops used to carry minilogos but they just recently stopped.

I put this in help but then thought here would make more sense so:
Just snapped my board and need to choose a new deck. Living in the UK i have mostly ridden Blueprint, Landscape, Heroin and the odd euro boards. I just had an 8.0x32 Jart board which i didn't like much, it felt a bit soggy. Anyway, to the point, having never skated a DLX board in 7 years of skating I finally have the money to try one out.
Pretty sure I am going 8 inch but chosing between the R1 and Rebound constructions from Real. Which do you guys who have ridden them think is the better shape. Obviously i'll look at both but I am interested in any experiences.
Choices are: Real Dompierre: 8.06x32 (rebound), Real Por Vida 8.02x? (R1)?
