I’ve saved some cans for nostalgia, these two belong together for a few reasons. My friend moved back home to North Dakota a few years ago, since then I’ve visited a few times and missed opportunities to try the iconic beer Schlitz, but last year I finally got my hands on a pack.
Despite its poor reputation I’d put it over every mass produced beer I’ve tried.
It made a birthday campfire with fresh bread and snacks complete.
Pour one out for Schlitz, they’re out of business now.
If I didn’t have other plans I would’ve arranged to visit the region to pickup a last batch brewed according to the original recipe.
The Holy Grail was a last ditch attempt to secure a gift for a buddy I’d made out there, we bonded over Python
The last pack was available at a Total Wine & More in Arizona so I reserved a rental car that night. from LA I drove into Mesa on a mission the next morning only to return the next day just in time for my vacation.
