I really can't get excited about griptape...it's just sandpaper with glue on the back.

Although having said that, just got a converse griptape given for me with the logo in the middle, looks pretty cool...

Dude, you should be that excited about griptape. Do a blind test, riders who use griptape even without being told which board is which show a vast improvement in skating. They say that they feel like they are more connected with the board and more "on" than when they don't have griptape.

wierd this thread came up, while ago i got sick of griptape tearing my shoes up so i threw my board on my workbench and sucked the grip tape off.
what was left was a sticky residue, kinda like how your hands feel after eating pancakes. best skateboard i ever skatedboarded.

And Ari- lucky griptape doesn't have a logo, its just high quality board to foot adhesive awesomeness. Perfect for anybody who feels like a tool rocking griptape with logos on it, but still needs something to stick their feet to the board.
Update- riding my new board with the sheet of LUCKY griptape and I have been skating way better, and feel more on than with my last board, which had older, less grippy griptape.
Seriously, go to your local skateshop and DEMAND lucky grip. If they don't have it, smash the glass display case with all the wheels in it, piss on the floor of the skateshop, and go to a skateshop that has lucky grip.

the more i think about it, the more i realized that Ari must KNOW he is clown fucking college. I realize there are tons of adults who buy into that regular shit like iodizing bracelets and that was basically this dude's main point of sale was that this griptape had magic elements in it and would make you skate better magically. and that is why he keeps saying "love the haters" because he knew from the get-go that the idea was goign to be regular. but we fucking fed that troll so hard now everyone and their uncle knows fucking paradox grip. the threads got stuck on the first page forever so no matter what, someone had to see that shit. his shameless name dropping only made it seem more legit to the younger kids who read these boards. then he got the slap front page.

he is a grown ass man so he is either incredibly stupid or actually planned this entire thing. i dont know how someone his age would seriously say the kind of shit he has, and gipper just threw it down, that is exactly how the guy fucking sounds except is actually serious about it. it seems way too stupid for someone to be able to seriously be behind the kind of shit Ari has said. he could be fucking with everyone... just a thought.
