I fully back Gipper, hes an asshole sometimes but hes very correct about what corporations are doing to this thing we hold dear. The people who disagree will realize whats going on when the skate brands start going under. Or we will get lucky and Nike/Adidas will pass as a fad.


For the record I didnt even post in Gippers shoe thread, Im over trying to speak my opinion on the matter because everyone who will disagree with me is just like Gipper said, skateboarding because they think it makes them cool. I moved to San Diego for school two years ago.  It's the absolute worst place ever in every way except one: the girls.  It's seriously impossible not to get laid here.  All the girls are hot and the dudes are so bad that if you're not the biggest kook of all time, you're the man at any club/bar/party.  Newton might even be able to get like a handjob here.

LA's fucking fun, too.  It's not New York but it's still pretty rad.  The key is knowing rich people who were born and raised there and are down to drive you everywhere that doesn't suck.  Pretty much everyone at UCLA is like this.  Wondering around LA clueless, broke, stuck in traffic, etc. is horrible and that's why a lot of people hate it.

why the hate? We've got nice weather year round, the ground is smooth, the beach and the mountains are an hour away from each, good food, plenty of shit to keep you busy, the industry is here so the product prices stay low, the best weed (seriously) and plenty of hot trim.
Pull your heads out of the downtown and the surrounding scenery is pretty fertile and pleasant.

On paper LA is great. But, for me, it isn't a place i enjoy spending more than a week. Every waitress is an actress, although they can't act like waitresses, everything has that pre fab/cookie cutter look and the weed is definitely better in nor cal. I've lived in redondo, the east bay, north east and south east. So i've had my fair share of experience, and LA isn't a place I ever want to be again.
