Burp, I mean.. bump.
First off, Zurg is dead on about Laker, worst beer I’ve ever had, probably named that because it tastes like murky lake water.
But also, there’s a hip local brewery super close to my house, which I desperately want to like because there’s no others around. On paper their brews sound delicious, but every single one, whether on tap or in a can, has this absolutely brutal metallic aftertaste. You get a faint hint of the intended flavour up front, which is then immediately followed by the taste of a stale beer that’s been sitting in a can too long on a hot day. I dunno if it’s the city water they use, their equipment, or what.. but it’s gross and a bummer I can’t bring myself to enjoy/support them.
The actual worst beer is probably Maximum Ice or whatever those heinous 10% beers Alex Moul drinks in the Tales From Warner Ave clips. I genuinely feel sad for anyone who subjects themselves to that stuff in order to escape reality.
