Hey there! Anybody have a zip zinger on here? i just ordered a 7.75 wide one and can't figure out wich trucks i should go with and how wide the board is over the trucks! i think of either going with thunder 143 or 145s
[close]
Either will work. I had 5.0s on mine and there was a little hotdogging in the back. I think 143s will technically fit better, but I wasn’t about to buy new trucks for a little jammer that got me to the train and back.

I've got 144's (8.25) on mine. They were laying around and I didn't want to spend any money on new trucks at the time. It's fun for sure, they monster truck a bit but it doesn't bother me.

-Zig Zagger - varies between 8.25” and 8.6” depending where you measure
-Thunder 149 standard with aftermarket Thunder white soft bushings
-65mm 85A Creative Urethane wheels (got for $10, not as smooth as OJ but they can slide a little bit)
-Bearings that came with the wheels
-Hardware and 1/8” risers from Labor

My little "cruise to the store for a beer and some skittles" type shit or when I want to cruise and not do tricks. Does it stop me from trying to flip it or grind some shit while out? No. Never. You could give me a totally dysfunctional skateboard thing and I'd still try to skate it! Ha!

- Zip Zagger. 7.75"? NES Platformer Graphic (probably not the name but it has Mario and DK lol)
- Indy 149 Black AVE Standards with some silver standard baseplate from another 149 Indy I was rotating from 5 years back or so.
- Bushings: Stock White Super Soft (88?) Indy ones.
- OJ Keyframe 56mm: Teal/Green
- Bones Reds
- 1/4" riser.

I don't mind the hot rodding. It feels pretty good since I don't get wheel bite and feel stable while carving fast!

Finished this up today.  Winkowski deck flipped upside down, unknown roller skate trucks cut in half, OJ Keyframes 58mm and some swiss.  No bolts, i just drilled the trucks through the deck and grinded down the exposed screws.

Nice polarizer attempt.

I did a wiggler as well, cut out of an old Powell Flight deck. Had old Indy 101’s on it, but the penny board truck I found in the bushes at a local park turn way better. Rough rider wheels are fast and grippy.

At one point I had a wider homemade “polarizer” with Indy 109s on it and I loved the turn.  What’s weird about roller skate trucks for me is they seem to be either turning or not turning.  The tension seems to be a joke.  Your Powell polarizer setup looks rad though, are you having better luck with the truck setup on it now that you’ve switched to penny trucks?

My Heated Wheel type of thing. It's a 70s Hang Ten fibreglass 26.5x5.75 deck (Blender rides a Bahne that is pretty much the same). ACS 430 roller-skate trucks. Bones 78a 58mm roller-skate wheels.

Changed the bushings from standard Independent 92a to Khiro orange 79a in front and a softer than 92a old Tracker on rear with Independent on top. And stuck some washers on to widen the track of the wheels. Rides a lot better than before.

where did you find those wheels?

WAAAY better. It turns in half the radius. Feels much more springy and loose

Hard wheels? "99" means they're 99 durometer.  And I'm too much of an idiot to take another ten minutes trying to figure out how to post images to yet another thread.

Yeah you must be right, radial has nothing to do with spitfire's shape radials and 99 has nothing to do with hardness. My bad.

Let me help you before this turns into a thread similar to the Useless Wooden Toys banter that’s happening.  99s are hard wheels so your board isn’t a “cruiser”.  It’s a cool shape but it’s what we like to call a skateboard.  So therefore, we the people would prefer you post it in the setup thread.  I’m sure it was an honest mistake and it’s all good dude.  But the cruiser thread is meant to be limited to boards with soft wheels.
Shalom or some shit like that.

Built this cruiser as a farewell gift to one of my best friends that’s leaving the office for a new job. People in the office chipped in and I chose the parts and put it together. Had a lot of fun setting it up. Had to cut the rails shorter because of the wheel wells but ended up working out great!

Polar Dane 1 shape (9.75 at the widest)
Indy 169’s stock
Bones reds
Krooked Zip Zinger 56mm 80a
Modus risers
Diamond Allen bolts
Blank Rails
Mob grip + clear grip

He fucking loved it and we already went to test it out. This thing is so much fun. Feels like a ATV with the soft wheels. Now my regular board feels like a loud snail in comparison ahah Really tempted to build one for myself next month.
