We use standard quick crete and water. We have started to chip away existing concrete in order to make the base flush and less likely to chip. The Austin High transitions were free hand with a trowel. Whenever we make a full quarter pipe like the one below, we build forms/ fill the forms with backfill/ then add concrete to the top. You trowel the finish and use a straight edge wider than your obstacle to stay true to your form.

Yeah, I'm a couple blocks north of Psycho ditch. I wish I lived closer to the pod so I could actually figure it out.

exactly. You know there are probably so many things to figure out to do on it too, and all of them would be fun.

http://www.vimeo.com/5322390 Spot featured in a lot of footy in this was SUPER fun and was around for about 2 months. Going there last year was always a great time. Got my wallet stolen there, learned a few tricks, and got a lot of footage.

BUMMER CITY FOR AUSTIN

I went to the alien pod early this morning (i can't sleep late) and there were these contractors there. Nice guys, but they informed me that the pod is going to be demolished on June 1st for some weak ass condos.

For a guerilla spot. it lasted a bit over 2 years. that rules. Fuck Condo's and fuck the city for not taking care of something really cool that they got for free.

not saying that it won't happen, but i've run into contractors/construction workers out there who have said similar things that didn't pan out.  still amazing that the spot has lasted as long as it has.  the pod rules.

Yeah that's a fuckin amazing spot.  Why is there even a smooth, un-used, concrete ditch in the woods?  I swear you Americans build shit with skating in mind, where I'm from everything is rough and square.

Not a spot as such but I made this gem last week.  Had such a good time making it and it skates so good!

Note the trucks/wheels for east transport! haha...

Found a 20ft piece of angle iron in a dumpster last weekend so a friend and I rescued it and liquid nailed it to a ledge at the local tennis courts. Turns out it's a bit close to the fence, so we're trying to work out a solution... Nothing special just something simple that only cost us some time and some liquid nail.
