Damn, I am from Wilmington which is awesome so I can't aggree with your eastern NC thoughts but have never been to Greenville and have only heard really bad things, unfortunately my wife might be applying to medical school there and that would mean 4 years there needless to say I am not to happy with that prospect. I am going to show her your post.
Well, the downtown is smaller than a single block in NY, but it beign the south it is spread out, meaning a car, which I lack, is almost essential, and the rest is just strip malls etc. devoid of any real culture. the inhabitants are mostly frat boy lite beer drinker types who go to ecu, some suburban neighborhoods, and then there is the other side of the traintracks. literally once you cross the traintracks you find where the black people live and the crack begins. very segregated, which i don't like. apparently there was a poll taken a few years ago that claimed that 1 out of 5 ecu females had an std, so best to stick to your wife, bro. no real skate spots at all, even the roads are pretty rough, so get some big and soft wheels. seriously dude, rethink this move, I wouldn't wish this place on anyone.
