Went out to dinner with my parents tonight. I didn't wanna go, but I figured it would make my mom happy so I went.
I never know what to say to my parents, so all today I was brainstorming stuff to talk about. I came up with three topics, and hoped to be able to stretch them out through the whole evening. I burned through them all in the first ten minutes, and then spent the rest of the meal sitting in silence, like the angsty teen I am. It was a Japanese restaurant. My dad did that embarrassing thing where he talked to the waiter like he doesn't understand English, even though the guy spoke it fluently with barely any accent, and my mom drank way too much wine. I think at one point on the ride home she started crying about something. Good times.

On the plus side I was making eyes with this cute Jewish girl with glasses that was sitting a couple tables away. She was wearing a yarmulke.

In one of those quirks of scheduling, my first class was gym. That meant I had to wake up in the morning, self-fornicate, shower, get dressed, go to school, get undressed, run around, shower and get dressed all in the space of about 45 minutes.

Fucking snow removal, wake up at 3am to blow snow around in -20 degree weather and burn my skin with de-icer, I remember seeing a guy do it when I was a kid and said "wow that would be the worst job ever" and now I'm doing it.
