Peaunt Butter
« on: November 02, 2009, 08:52:05 PM »
That shit is so fucking good sometimes I can't even believe it exists. So let's talk about peanut butter? How do you like yours? Smooth or crunchy? How do you like to eat it? Personally I prefer in this order: toast and peanut butter, peanut butter and jam sammiches, just peanut butter sammiches.

This is my shit right here:

2 years ago i opened up my cupboard and got out a bottle of that very brand of peanut butter, I didnt know it had been in there for a while because it looked silky smooth, I took a knife out and got a nice serving to spread onto some toast

I looked down and saw a little moving in the jar, it was a little fucking white maggot in my peanut butter. I instantly puked and was so pissed all day.

Since then it has been hard for me to enjoy this fine product, even if I just opened it

when i do the drunk walk/wake up halfway through my sleep walk to the kitchen i grab the peanut butter and bread and make a sandwhich. i've been feeling the super chunk on whole grain lately. i'll put some banana in it if i wake up enough to add it

Frisco, that's fucking gross! One time I found a full, glazed wasp in my Golden Grahams and it took me at least 10 years to ever eat them again.

But if I found a worm in my peanut butter, I would have scooped it out and still finished the jar.

Peanut butter.

man....I've always refrigerated my pb....I'm glad I do....I usually buy natural type shit....like Adams...I put it on naan bread w. honey, jam, or w. bananas..fold it up....the naan is like a better version of a pita...

the other thing i like is smoothies.....choc soy, chock syrup, frozen banana, protein powder, pb.....it's really good and doesn't taste like protein powder....

what's really messed is in the US how pb is not a regular toast condiment....am I right?  All the times I've had to ask for pb it's been south of the border....

Peanut Butter & banana sandwiches were amazing when I was a kid.
Then when I became an adult and was still eating that, I realized it was time to find a better job.
I get to see Devil semi regularly and his little dude is rad as hell. My wife and I aren't into having little ones, but that'll give me more time to be a god uncle and teach Devil's spawn to slang weed.

word. my friends and i have just recently been discovering our shared love of peanut butter, particularly peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and peanut butter nature valley sweet and salty bars. we nickname everything, so peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are now "washington carvers." i use skippy peanut butter (crunchy or smooth, both are amazing), and i throw the bread in the toaster for just long enough for the bread to get pretty warm, but not really toasted. this allows the peanut butter to melt when you spread it, then add the jelly (not too particular on jelly, any will do; strawberry is the best though). i've yet to make just one peanut butter and jelly sandwich for one sitting. no matter the circumstance, if i'm hungry enough for one washington carver, i'm hungry enough for two.

i'm assuming everyone here is aware of the greatness that is peanut butter and jelly dunked in milk?

Check out this breakfast treat that I sometimes concoct:

Peanut butter and strawberry and banana burrito. (Flour tortilla, not corn.)

Do Americans really not spread peanut butter on toast? That's fucked. JSoy do you put butter/margerine on the toast before the peanut butter? Probably not because you seem all healthy. It's totally unhealthy, but it's the way I was raised eating it and it makes it soooooo much better.

I always wonder why they're called peanut butter and jelly sammiches when everyone obviously uses jam. Gomez, raspberry jam is infinitely better for a PB N' J than strawberry.

I can no longer appreciate any other granola bar because those sweet and salty things shit all over everything else.

Living the trife student life my go-to snack is usually a nice lightly toasted peanut butter and banana sandwich. Always tasty.

i heart peanut butter... i once worked a club with PB&J shooters made of flangelico, baileys and blackcurrent cordial... that was the bomb...

peanut butter with na'an bread is great too... nothing like warm toast to melt  the creamy goodness...

peaunt butter is the best thing since gino of chocolate.....

i do mess w. premarging my pb toast....it like lubricates your toast....just pbing it leaves it too dry....it's like cinnamon toast w. no premarging... that shit is terrible....I almost get stressed out that somehow it's going to get caught in my throat.....

my naan concoction is similar to your burrito one....

I ate a giant Reese's cup tonight.  I didn't even know when they started making these but they're like 3 or 4 inches in diameter and pretty thick.  A butt load of peanut butter in those things.  Full glass a milk and one of those, fuckin gooood.

Fuck. Yes. Peanut butter and Nutella is the shit! Want to rot the teeth out of your face? Peanut butter and Marshmallow Fluff baby! All day e'rry day! I ate one of those sandwiches every day during high school-probably the best four years of my life. Hug fan of peanut butter on blueberry bagels. You get the bagel right out of the toaster, spread some peanut butter on it, put it back together and watch it melt out of the sides-fucking amazing.

All the times I've gotten toast at restaurants there's usually peanut butter on the table for you. At least I though so. I'll have to check next time.

I never pre-butter the peanut butter, but if I'm just having some toast with jam, gotta throw the butter on first.

And sorry Euro Pals-but your peanut butter is no where near as good as North American peanut butter. You'll beat us on many things but that is not one of them.

As for preference-Jif Peanut Butter. Like the commercials say-Choosy moms choose Jif. SO if you grew up eating anything else then your mom never really loved you.

Edit: I don't know why, but Watson that first sentence of your first post made me laugh for a good five minutes.

that is really good, i can't remember having it since i was a small child though. peanut butter and frosted flakes is really good, i discovered that one after pouring a bowl of the cereal and finding there was no milk afterward. and i thought i'd mention that i literally eat two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ever day for breakfast. well, i had been. but i was worried that i may eventually get sick of peanut butter because it was losing its appeal from eating it so constantly.

it's a great snack, eating it now and apples are like miracle food

Quote
1-Apple contains Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps greatly your immune system. A lot of people who lack Vitamin C in their diet have poor healing, bruise easily and have bleeding gums.

2-Prevent Heart Diseases. The reason it can prevent both coronary heart disease and cardiovascular disease is because apples are rich in flavonoid. Flavonoids are also known for their antioxidant effects.

3-Low in calories. A regular size apple has between 70-100 calories. Eating an apple when craving for candy or chocolate can make the desire disappear since apple in itself contains sugar, but gives you only ? of the calories.

4-Prevent Cancers. Notice the plural. We all know that cancer comes in several forms and in different places. Apples target multiple cancers such as colon cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer in women.

5-Apples contain phenols, which have a double effect on cholesterol. It reduces bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol. They prevent LDL cholesterol from turning into oxidized LDL, a very dangerous form of bad cholesterol which can be deadly.

6-Prevent tooth decay. Tooth decay is an infection that seriously damages the structure of your teeth, which is caused primarily because of bacteria. The juice of the apples has properties that can kill up to 80% of bacteria. So there you have it, an apple a day also keeps the dentist away!

7-Protects your brain from brain disease. This is something many people don’t know, and when you consider that your brain makes the person you are, it gives a whole new perspective. Apple has substances called phytonutrients, and these phytonutrients prevents neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinsonism.

8-Healthier Lungs. A research at the University of Nottingham Research shows that people who eat 5 apples or more per week has lower respiratory problems, including asthma.

9-They taste great! And not only that, they also come in many flavors and colors. Not in a mood for a green apple? Why not get a red one, or a macintosh! Their taste can vary greatly, but still give you all the apple benefits. Variety is an important element to maintaining your health.
