and did not know he was so close to Donny Barley
I think that's how he got on Toy. He was living the city (or Sac?) when Donny came to town with Ed and the Toy dudes and that's when he put down the front blunt on Hubba. I'm pretty sure that's the story I heard.
Like Daewon said: if skateboarding is a ten story building, Rodney is on eleventh floor.

Is that seriously going to be a BA signature Blazer rather than just a Blazer mid?  That's cool.

thats not ba's special colorway. the BA color is black with a gum sole and white swoosh. i heard it was supposed to look like a high cut down to a mid but i heard otherwise recently.

Yeah he was skating with the Toy Machine guys and they liked him and put him on the team. If you look at the board he is riding on that front blunt it is a Think Matt Pailes.

Sure they do, it's just that no one reads those interviews because they're not in Details Magazine or on the Urban Outfitters website.

From ESPN:

You wear a lot of jerseys. Were there any sports you played when you were younger?
No, just soccer. I'm not really that into sports. I always liked hockey jerseys. I played soccer for my school for a second.

I think you're one of the few people who's pulled off the hockey jersey in skating.
Yeah, you gotta have big shoulders or something.

I used to play hockey and later on in college, I remember wearing a hockey jersey while I was skating. And my friends were like, "Man, you've gotta take that thing off. It looks like a cut off moo-moo."
Yeah, they're pretty big. I have a Red Wings one and I think they did well last year, so I didn't want to wear it. I didn't want to be walking down the street and have someone come up to me, shouting numbers and players' names at me.

I got a Cubs hat last year, just to rep the Midwest. Then, they started doing really well, so people would come up to me all the time and want to talk about it. All I knew was that they usually do bad, but they were doing well then, so I would just say, "Oh, yeah, they've really turned it around this year…they usually do so badly," all the time.
[Laughs] You're like, "Sh*t man, I should learn a few things just to say to these people.

That's not what I said, don't misquote me. I'm not saying that ESPN is "harcore skate shit", but I'm obviously not embarrassed to share my source.

Now, are you implying that liking sports and reading fashion magazines are somehow equal? Because neither are "hardcore skate shit"? That's quite the imagination you have there, junior. Quite the stretch, but you just keep on tryin'.

ESPN is lame. Fashion magazines are lame. Neither are legitimate skate media. No stretch here.
