The Perfect Pants thread
« on: November 09, 2009, 08:33:26 PM »
Ok.  I'm sick and tired of not finding the right fit of pants.  I hope this gets positive feedback because I feel like finding a good fitting pant in this world is like looking for buried treasure.....(unless your rich).

Does anybody know how Ben Davis Trim fit pants fit?
What are some good chinos?
Why the fuck are skateboarding pants so expensive!

pony up the cash and get some RVCA jeans. the chevy's have a good stretchy straight-leg fit in good colors and the romero's are the same thing but slimmer

get you some dickies chinos to just wear around.  honestly the best skating pants i know of are those cheap ass slacks you can get at wal-mart.  they arent stylish or anything but they are light and you can afford to fuck them up.

i prefer snug fitting ones, so levis 510, american apparel slim slack, and altamont pico are good for me. i also have a pair of plaid volcom rowley chinos that are a loose fit, and very lightweight, and i got them new at goodwill for 6 dollars.

you took to much

i havnt worn denim in like 5 years atleast. i swore it off once i got the most comfortable pants i ever have owned. i slammed super hard and ripped them so now they have been cut into shorts. recently though my puppy has chewed a hole in the crotch so my balls hang out now. i still have been wearing them every day. today though, i discovered that i split them somehow, and now i have one of these.

i will refuse to retire these things though, until they are unable to stay on.

i've got some krew chinos that feel pretty damn good.  as far as denim goes, levi's premium, ruca, and altamont.

the quality on a.a pants suck
i prefer 510's and 511's
best jeans i've ever had were these h&m pants that i went the "took too much" route with; the crotch ripped out on both sides, had two of those ass rips, blew out under the belt loop, and it ended when one of the knees got ripped open on my last day wearing them

marc johnson matix cords or the pants

i had two pairs of these and they were terrible to skate in. it felt like they were too low rise or something because whenever i went to take a descent push or try a certain trick they would constrict right around the gouche. it was terrible. they were cords aswell, i thought they would of been comfortable to skate in at least.

my favourite jeans right now are leo's by rvca. i've got a couple pairs and they fit just right, they're like the perfect slim fit. Got them in cords, too, so good.

Believe it or not DC make really good cords aswell, I thought they were going to be complete shit but they're really nice. No idea on what the model is, though.

Kinda sucks to say cause they aren't a skateboard co. and I have got most as gifts but the GAP 1969 cords are the best pants I've ever had, about 15 or 20 pairs over 4 or 5 years I think. I like mine a little looser than most companies fit but yeah they changed my game a few years ago.

I own like 6 pair of dickies and only like 2 pair actually fit good.  The rest are like either really baggy or they just feel disgusting.  The slim fit dickies arent bad, but they only make black and khaki.  Does anybody have the RVCA Americana chinos?

best denim hands down. i'm wearing a pair right now. it's weird though, some pairs that i have fit perfectly (black, blue) and some pairs fit disgustingly huge (shiny black, shiny dark blue). and i buy the same size for every pair that i have so i don't know what's up with them. do the colors determine how loose the jeans are?

maybe... the shiney ones probably shrink a little after you wash em... but its more to do with levis using sweatshops in third world countries that have lax quality control standards.  6 year olds dont care if your jeans fit the way they should, they just dont want another beating for not sewing enough.
