tbh my fav shop was ASS -- alpine ski shop -- cause it was the shop of my first set up, the shop i sent all my cringey sponsor me videos to, etc. Nostalgia for sure. The dude who owns it lived in the same neighborhood i did as a kid, so it became my local. Used to get Strange Notes dvds and Paul sharpes Skatebooks from the owner, he was really cool. he knew i liked 80s skating so he'd lend me his old thrashers and shit... good memories for sure

oh damn I totally forgot about ASS, I remember going there once or twice when I was really young. i sent all my cringey sponsor me videos to Asylum when i was still in elementary school (which i think they were nice enough to give me a shirt or something similar each time I did). I skated for East Coast on one of the revamps of their teams (this is after Liberal Arts (DC video if you're not familiar) came out).

i never interacted with the owner of East Coast (Doug..I think) all that much but apparently he had a bit of a coke habit and was pretty unstable, accused Brad Rosado of stealing I think and dropped the entire team. something similar happened after a year or 2 of the new team forming and he dropped our team. they faded into obscurity not long after I guess (didn't know they had closed shop until looking them up just now). my buddy Adam now works for FFX (filmer/"TM"/general laborer) but was working for east coast prior to all that

AGES ago when I was just learning noebluntslides. I could do them clos eto the edge of an obstacle, and I would move closer to the edge to 'nail' them and 'lock' them.

Took me a good 2 weeks to really learn them. Easy trick actually...

Her I'm learning them, I'd slide and land them, but it was more of a powerslide here.
