Jake Johnston? Jake Johnston!? Who the fuck is that?

I like Riyun Schecla.

He's the dankness.

Down with Bledsoe getting this, the kid is sick and consistently puts out really good footage- the AM situation over at AWS is pretty close, who goes pro first? Regardless of who you like better, you'd have to think Bledsoe would first since he's been getting so much coverage since Mind Field...

Grant Taylor, Jake Johnson, Nestor Judkins, and Pat Burke all come to mind immediately. I can understand why they picked Tyler though; his Mind Field part was pretty boring to me, but everything else he's put out this year was good.

David Torgerson killed it, too.

Bledsoe's OK but this should have gone to Marius or Wes.
Maybe next year then.

I thought his part was insanely good. The song was so bad though that I never really want to watch his part.

jake johnson would've been my vote, but tyler makes perfect sense

I don't think Jake Johnson had enough footage to be in the running.
too bad there's not a best am part of the year award.  or is there? seems like they've got an award for everything these days.

well, he got my vote just for his mind field part alone.

Best Am of the year living in japan: Rich Adler.
fixed your gears

then again, he's also probably the only one as well.  what an obscure pick.  Dude rips and I enjoy his skating, but best am?

My thoughts exactly. I liked Jake's stuff best, but Tyler is undeniably talented.

What's up with Japan? Is it the land of amazing flatbars or something? I always see footage of people skating these crazy and perfect bar setups there, is shit like that just around, or are they just searching really really hard?
spots for days in the city.  Been living in Kobe for almost six years and it's rad.

i agree that the guys i'd pick have already been turned pro (Grant for the WIN). but i'd still pick Jake over bledsoe. i mean, i'm backing tyler, but c'mon dude, jake did some really insane shit this year and he's just radder to watch on a board in general. i wonder if anyone in NY calls him JJ Fad? or maybe JJ Rad. i bet they do.

Never seen him skate?
OK, maybe you have to see the upcoming Habitat video and you wont be asking such questions anymore after that.
