For real. He's not even gay.

Speaking of that man, has anybody seen him live? I feel like he would put on a great show.
Who are you to judge what kinds of cocks he wants to suck?

I've seen him live 9 times. If he plays Europe, I try to go to the 2 nearest places he plays at.
He has to be 'into' it.

I've seen him play shows where he was in an extremely good mood, and shows where he just seemed pissed off...
Its not hard to figure out which shows were the best shows.

I saw him in holland once, in a fairly small venue. I was like a foot away from him. The stage was low and he was making jokes the whole time. That was the best time I saw him.

But IF he plays near you. Just go.

A mediocre Moz show is still beter than anything you'll ever see.
Great singer, and he doesn't perform. He lives it.

I also won a signed morrissey poster a few years ago... hangs in my livingroom.

The Smiths - Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Beforestop me if you have heard this one before

The smiths were awesome.

The basslines are very very very hard to play they're insane. Theyre like seperate songs within a song and it all fits together. The drums are very basic, but the bass fills that gap. Guitar wise, well damn. Try to play a smiths song and youll knoz oz hard it is.

Great band and moz just killed it.

That's what I loved about this band so much ... those fucking bass lines. And it's crazy to think they tried to disregard what the rhythm section contributed to every song when it came down to royalties and what not. Sure they didn't write the songs, but they played a huge part and contributed more than most bass players and drummers.

i never understood that rationale when it came to royalties.  the drummer and bass player contribute as much to the song as anybody.  why they aren't included in "songwriting" is beyond me.

I see a lot of people on this thread mention "I Know It's Over". I prefer the live version on their record, 'Rank'. Probably one of their best performances if you ask me.

If you're a hardcore Smiths/Morrissey fan, such as I, you should check out these links for demos and live footage:

Speaking of that man, has anybody seen him live? I feel like he would put on a great show.

I've seen him live 3 times.  Shows were good but kinda of bummers at the same time.  1st show I saw him at a casino in CT.  dude got pissed at the crowd and said 'He felt nobody was feeling him" and left stage not performing an encore.  Beers were thrown, and people including myself were pissed.

2nd Show was in Boston.  That one was good. Fucking amazing actually.

3rd one was in Albany, it was good, then he started his PETA campaign mid show, huge projectors playing these gnarliy slaughtering of animals while he sang, my chick was super bummed, a lot of people left.  show turned into Borrissey for a bit after but he finished up strong.

I'd go again if he plays locally but wouldn't travel to see him.  I also get to see any shows in the area for free so I try and go to as many "good ones" as possible.

That "Stop me" video looks like Williamsburg on the daily, kind of funny.

Anyone else notice that Tony Parker is the Gino of basketball?

The end guitar bit at the end of Pretty Girls Make Graves, Peel Session This Charming Man, What Difference Does it make from Hatful, Handsome Devil, Hand In Glove, How Soon Is Now is their best song by far. Hatful is their best Album.  Morrissey Solo is better than The Smiths though.

No they don't. Are you kidding? Anyone could have come up with those rhythms, they're good players no doubt, but  they didn't write the songs, they accompanied them.  It's bad for band politics for people to be paid more than others, but they didn't write the music, or the lyrics.  That's all that matters in song publishing.

Anyway, Morrissey hated them, even when in the band, he barely acknowledged them, they were hired musicians, that once the band became successful demanded more.

My girlfriend and i both love Morrisey and im trying to cop those tickets for Barclays in june. They have like 8 seats left for each section no bull.  And how can we pick just one song??? They are all soooo fucking good, But the first song I ever heard his voice in.....

-"...Because we all know if Baker were Guns N Roses, Braydon would be Steven Adler..."

- "When I'm not getting laid , I'm hauling myself down a 5 flat 5....Time to man up son!"

piece of shit, straight up.
