It is different than Aphrodite's Child, but Demis Roussos (the vocalist) did some great stuff independently. Some people that I have shown this band (and liked it) hated Demis Roussos solo. I am a fan though - check out 'End of the World', that is a good one. As far as Aphrodite's Child goes, get the 666 album. It is amazing!

edit: I forgot 'End of the World' is an Aphrodite's Child song, so for Demis Roussos check out 'We Shall Dance'.
