spool, I was thinking that you probably decided to act on a more literal interpretation of this thread's title: post any old song, shitty or not, and see what people think.
That's my theory. And, I know I've got some ego wrapped up around music. That is, what music I think I should like or what's representative of me. My realization of that ego has opened the door many different types of music for me to enjoy that I would have written off as implausible only a few years ago.
But, Goddamn, when I listen to the song you posted, I imagine a bunch of poseur neo-hippies flying up I-70 in their X-Terra to go skiing, thinking they are connected with nature, when they are just spilling tons of carbon into the air pursuing one of life's most selfish activities.
3/10 - goes to show I've got more work to do on that ego, I guess

I just try to put stuff out there by people I'm friends with or have worked with, or just find super awesome. Really like what you have to say about dissolving one's ego in order to open doors. That goes for everything in life though!

I like it. Kinda reminded me of "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel and the beginning def had a sting/police vibe. I'll be honest though, I didn't make it through all 12 minutes of the song, never been too big on UM. i'll still give it a 7.8

I give it an 8. I really expected it to get heavy the whole time with distorted guitars and other instruments but thankfully that didn't happen. However, it does sort of have a slight uncomfortableness to the music.

I liked it at first aside from the guitar player's tone was way too treble-y and i had to stop listening. I'll give it a 6.3, they do kinda remind me of these guys in a good way doe:

I know it's a little played out but they used that sample from "UFO" by ESG that Big Daddy Kane used on Ain't No Half-Steppin' so that alone gives it 3 points, the punchy bass line throughout the song gives it another 2 points, the smooth vocals after DMX's (sorry just not a big fan) give it another two points, the hook i'll add another point for giving it a total score of 8, which I'd say is pretty good for a played out formula.

Fuck. That seemed like it was 20 minutes long, because nothing interesting happens. The drums repeat forever, and whimsical little sounds kind of dance over the same thing for 5 straight minutes. I tried to get into it, I was just waiting for something that never came. Even the melody is somewhat dissonant, unpleasant. I'll give it a 5/10. Sorry.

Now that I'm bummed out, here is a song that is literally 20 minutes long. Good luck to the next person.

It says that album only came out in 2001 but I swear it reeks of the 90's. I'll give it a 10 if it came out in the 90's otherwise it's just a 9.8. Got that Sonic Youth vibe. also kinda reminded me of these guys (even though they're also not 90's);

I don't drink milk anymore for being more aware of what processes the "natural" product goes through to become "milk". But back in my youth I used to love sculling a glass bottle of ice cold milk after biking home from school. Full cream all the way. In our house we used to rush up in the morning to skim the cream from the silver top bottles and put it on our cereal.
Yeah low fat products usually mean more sugar. More sugar = more heart attacks and diabetes.

I was referring to the sound of the rappers voices and the sound you can make with your throat after drinking full milk.
