I liked his Public Domain part when it came out.  Everything involving Vallely within the realm of skateboarding, I like.  Honestly.  He skates hard.

Unfortunately, everything outside of skateboarding he is involved with I pretty much detest.  Wish I could separate the man from his skateboarding, but that's impossible.  I still like Matt Hensley more.
I take everything I said back. The board hit me in the nuts for the first time ever today, because i was wearing these shits.

Powell and World is as good as his career ever got. He had a mean mute BS 180 when I did a demo with him Dune and Ed Templeton back in the day. I'll give him that.

Watch his Union Wheels part.

And while you're at it, watch the Koston, Markovich, and little kid Andrew Reynolds parts. SICK.

But Vallely also kills it in that video. And yes, he flips his board. A lot.

personally i rather see someone like vallely doing something out of the ordinary, than see some dude doing the same bag of fliptricks everyone else has got.  not to take away from the guys who got fliptricks but they're a dime a dozen these days and mike v is one in a million.  i think its cool that he completely ignores what everyone else is doing and just does his own thing.

His profile in 411 #10 was sick. I also really liked the recent Brooklyn Banks thing. But pretty much everything in between those two has been cringe-worthy. I wish it wasn't, but it's true.
i saw my grandma bail off a 4 set once in my house and she even got up and came to red lobster after.

he's good and all, I honestly like seeing his tricks, but he just seems like a total douche/tool lately. and in his battle commander he did waaay too many step-off tricks

skating to your own music is awesome

or maybe not at all. i dont know, it seems when he and TK do it, its annoying because their music is terrible. but in Tincan Folklore its ok, but the music in that is awful also. hmmmmm...

Ray Barbee has "held up"? Explain.

All I ever see any more is pictures of him holding some stupid guitar. LAME.

I'll always be a Mike V. fan.  I don't really give a shit what he does outside of skateboarding but as a dude that's about to cross the 40 year old line he RIPS!!  That guy inspires me.  If he can do it at 39, so can I (39 in a couple of months).

Ten years ago I thought I'd be done skating by now.... BWAHAHAHHAHHAHAHH!! No, not so much.  Thanks Mike.

If you ever met him you'd realize he's cool as shit and loves to skateboard.
i don't care for all the beards, wrestling, muscle car nonsesne, and fighting videos. But i have nothing but respect for him as a skateboarder.

i've seen more recent photos of barbie diong better things than i've seen of mike. when's the last time mike did a trick that wasn't nostalgic? and i'm not completely hating on that, but kids who doesn't know ray or lances history could still enjoy their skating while mikes would need a history lesson before it could be appreciated.

He is one of the most important street skaters. Natas, Gonzales, Templeton, Lee, Tommy G and Vallely.
I like to skate street, so respect to Mike V. Thanks for street skating, man.

Sure buddy!  I'll make sure to remember that next time I see a new vid with someone doing a foot-plant variation, air-walk, bennihanna, boneless, Madonna or a show-stopper or some kind of sliding-varial-something-or-the-other...

You don't need a history lesson stupid,  you need to get your head out of the sand!
