Leo Romero appreciation
« on: February 10, 2010, 12:17:39 PM »
This kid went from someone I barely payed attention to into a Kirchart/Fowler hybrid of pure style and skill. He fucking kills it and is one of my top 10 favorite skateboarders these days. Appreciate the awesomeness of these videos

As corny as it sounds, I can't help but call him a skater's skater. Straight up rips (no pun intended) and slams like a champ.

Anyone ever determine who the anonymous voice-over is in his TWS bonus footage? Kinda sounds like Spanky but Neckface is also a possibility.

His ST part will blow minds. Remember how rad the second Emerica vid was? skating, editing and music selections were spot on

I love this sequence.

As Reynolds put it
"Leo skating is the unhealthy kind, the type where you grab a razor and slice your arms"

I think the whole skate world is showing Leo appreciation right now, which he totally deserves.

i remember seeing him on that pharmacy video and other videos around that time and thinking like "damn this guy is goign to blow up" and i specifically remember thinking about all the other guys (matt specifically) and kind of thinking that they werent as good as leo... he actually changed skatingg a lot by going up a handrail. hes obviously not the first person to do it but i think he changed the way people look at handrail skating for sure.

This is a high school by my parents' house, could not believe it when I first saw it. I never would have even thought that getting over the fence was a possibility.

writing a complaint letter in that font just makes it seem like a joke, I read that in a Milhouse voice
