we have completly coated it in candle wax and it still don't grind. You guys have anything that makes a ledge slick? does wd-40 work?

Sometimes, it's just crappy concrete/building materials, but if you guys keep working at it, it should eventually be grindable.  If all else fails, get some angle iron.

i think we are gonna keep waxing it and shit and if that doesnt work we are gonna use angle iron cuz these ledges are perfect. its two knee high ledges in a row with a enough room for a flat trick before in the middle and after....so good.

maybe put some bondo on the edges of the ledge
but angled iron is the easiest thing to do

you have to break in the ledge. its usually a bitch.

if you have an old pair of trucks put it on a board, put the old board/trucks on the ledge run and jump on the borad, repeat this over and over until it finnally works. side note this will destroy your trucks, so dont use ones you like.

Last year I broke in a ledge that was a bitch. I had brand new krux 4.0's and they were down to the axle in seriously 3 sessions, so yeah, try it with some old trucks

i had some brand new indys and had to break in a ledge back in january which led to them getting halfway down and then had to re-break it in in late april so i just kept trying crooks which led to the axle but by then my trucks were done anyways

What's that stuff they use on pool coping? Lacquer? That should work but I think you're suppose to put it on before waxing.

"The best way to break the coping in is to paint it. You can use Salba sauce which is clear enamel paint or you can use almost any spray paint or concrete paint. Within the first few months keep the coping sauced regularly. Eventually the coping will build up a protective layer and after awhile you only need to sauce the coping once or twice a month."
i think the same can be applied to the ledge
