Okay so I know these aren't all the way to axle per se but here are Dan Plunkett's (first photo) and Frank Gerwer's trucks (second photo)

kind of hard to see, but it's definitely there. I'm a fan of feeble grinds.

One of the pics above reminded me of a photo Akira Imamura posted. If you ever skated with him you know it doesn't take long for him to get to this point.

Holy shit if that is their cruzer then what does their regular setup look like?! :o

Apart from Mini ramp groove - in which case, you are allowed a pass, Grinding down to the axle means either you are a kid, un sponsored or can't afford new trucks.

Bones bushings are highway robbery. They must be a 100 percent mark up from their production expense.

They are cheap and make your trucks not suck, unless your broke, then you can't afford them or new trucks anyway, hense the grinding down to the axl.

Bones bushings are crap.  They have very good urethane so they feel great for about a month but that plastic insert is a gimmick and completely unnecessary

Once broken in Thunder and Indy aftermarket win every time

Back truck and front truck, just retired. Would've kept these on but the axles are all stripped, and they started sounding like they were gonna fall off when I rolled down the street.

I can never get to the axle before my baseplate blows out  :'(  Honestly I'm sick of the stage 11s I hate them but I'm too scared to try Thunders or Aces because I've skated nothing but Indy my whole life.

This is as close as I can ever get

i always set up my new trucks separately, try just changing the baseplate and keep the axle untill its done, then change the axle if possible

Yeah I've thought about doing that but at this point it's too late my new pair of trucks is already like two months old.  The second I get back home I'm probably going to pick up a pair of Thunder 151s they just look so good, and I'm having different problems with this new set of stage 11s as well.

Bump.

Looks like the beginning of the end for my theeve TiH (titanium axleless hangers). There's no traditional axle so it grinded a hole through and is starting to hollow away. These are 3 years old now, I wonder how long til the truck compound fractures and the wheel falls off..
