Growing playing at UCI 5/2

Growing (featured in many of the interstitial scenes in Mind Field) is playing at UC Irvine on Sunday the 2nd. I know Mind Field turned a lot of people onto Animal Collective, not sure if it had the same effect on Growing. The show is $5, 8:00PM, at the Cross-Cultural Center on campus.

did you just get into this band after the video? they are one of the most amazing live bands i've ever seen. up there with Sunn 0))) in the whole loud-as-fuck-trance-inducing-drone scene, but their kinda polar opposites. when you go to the show, get ready to vibe out. you're probably going to walk into a room of people just sitting on the floor and zoning out. it's a really unexplainable feeling, but you'll dig it.  oh, and is it for students only cuz i think i wanna go to this shit too
