Kids don't know about the time I took the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.

Kids don't know about having fun or smiling when they skate these days. Don't stress so much, just have fun, tricks will come easier.

Kids also don't know how to speak properly these days. (for the win, epic, fail, buttery etc.)

Generally, I like kids today better than I did when I was a kid. My only gripe is how hard it is to get them to leave the park, but older dudes are even worse about that, so...

This one's pretty damn obvious but I'll say it anyway...

Kids don't know about style these days. Everyone's so worried about having "smooth" style and not flailing their arms, well, more like not moving them at all. Arm movement can be a beautiful thing. Take Brian Anderson for example. He has nice arm movement.

Which 2 or 3? I'd say he's equal to or greater than any other human being that has ever touched a skateboard.

Kids don't know about skating around the city without being harassed, skatestoppers not existing, and having 10 perfect marble plazas to skate that you probably won't get kicked out of these days.
