i heard the kid thing too. and im pretty sure emmers is still involved in the san diego scene, I used to see him with smolik/brandon turner and that crew around pacific drive skate shop

That is what happened. After the video, and Powell falling apart, he had a kid and is done with trying to make it in skateboarding. Dude was a hometown skate hero. Sad to see it fall apart.

I think Lennie Kirk is the only pro who can pull off the Jesus thing successfully. Jamie Thomas, Lance Mountain and others have toned down the religious rhetoric in their marketing because they realize it can be off-putting and ultimately it's tacky.

Damn I don't check this thread very often and am hyped that you said Trent!

He works for ABC doing Camera work or editing or managing them both, I forget but something along those lines. He's been skating a good amount the last 2 years or so. Still looks super good on a skateboard.

I've had the pleasure of chilling with him a bunch over the last 2 or 3 years, some of the best stories I've ever heard! From Frankie Hill to Guy and Rudy Johnson. SO rad talking with him about that stuff. Still lives in LM.

I really want to hit up O'dell and have him do an Epicly Later'd on him with all the roomers from when he left skateboarding I think it would be super sick!

Never really saw much skating coverage of him. Lots of lifestyle shots for Real and Forties. The only footage I ever remember seeing of him was the end of Skate and Destroy, right before Pat Washington killed it.
