Saw your post and figured I would hit you direct - Chima knew he was going pro. All the riders here know and its up to them when they feel comfortable with it - I work with them all and include them in all the steps - sometimes it can take a year and we go down the road together - but its all them.
that said - Chima had absolutely no idea he was getting his deck after the FTF. It was so fucking cool to see - he truly was surprised. He had never seen the graphic and it was the first time he had seen the deck with his name on it. Seeing someone get their first board was rad to see first hand.
The thing was taped just this Tues - totally last minute to coincide with the Chima since day 1 videos and Lost Days episodes - so yes ye knew he was turning pro - but again he had no ida when he would get deck etc .

I don't think it even matters. I am sure if a skater even knew he was turning pro before hand, he would have still been hyped on it. I am sure he will be celebrating with his "mates" later.

Another good pro debut surprise was Braydon. They had those Budweiser graphics for him and he definitely didn't know he was going pro.

ive said it like 6 times on here so know that i think chima should have gone pro atleast a year ago. but i guess thats the difference between turning pro for a real company and one that just has the right idea. no pun intended
