Very good video. As always janoski came with the tasty treats, austyn is a beast. I really would of enjoyed more footy of them skating that abandoned theme park. something about those places...

GO BUY THIS DVD, I am broke ass and still bought it. it's worth it. And the inspiration, oh the inspiration

Just watched a few parts, Silas was awesome. I didn't hate the music like some of you.
Haven't watched Gall yet, does he skate to Sabbath ?

I can't remember a video in the last 3 years where everyone here didn't bitch about the music. I guess everyone's musical taste is so varied that no matter WHAT the music is, most people will be complaining.

Thats why a bit of variety in the music would have been nice

what annoyed me most about tim oconnors part was that in a fairly recent skateboard mag interview.
he said he was trying to be more productive as he didn't want to get kicked off.and he had some sick tricks in there, and not a single one was in the video.
and i find it hard to belive that he didn't film any of them
[close]

well you have to understand that this was suppose to only have full parts from some of the riders. even though its the 3rd official video its not a full production like inhabitants or mosaic. also oconnor had a skateboarder cover that wasnt in there for some reason. hopefully its in the bonus section of the DVD.

From what i understand everyone from the east coast had a lot more footage that for some reason they didnt want to use, i heard at the boston permier durante and andrew were really pissed

whos andrew?

They should be more pissed about the song that they skated to.  Alex Davis is a black guy for christ sake.  Black dudes don't skate to that kinda music.  Thats a rule.

Guru actually isn't sikh. He said so in his latest Thrasher interview. He just doesn't cut his hair for pretty much no reason.

I still haven't seen the whole video, but Austyn's part was pretty awesome. The 50-50s, the switch backside noseblunt, and the huge switch backside flip blew my mind.

you've clearly never seen his parents. he might not be into the faith he was raised on or maybe just not into talking about it but he was raised by parents who were clearly really heavily into it.

Exactly. He explained it in another interview. His parents were sikh, but apparently it is a religion you must actively engage in tobe considered a member. He didn't cut his hair as a kid because of his parents' beliefs, and said he felt keeping it despite not going with the religion.
Interesting related fact, according to the Sikh religion, the name "Khalsa" is not a last name but a name of honor for the most spiritual of people. When you reach a certain level, they give you that name. His parents were given that name before they migrated here, and it became their legal last name, so Guru got the name "Khalsa" without actually earning it.

I know a couple kids of Sikhs who have that name because of that or a similar reason.
