tv on the RADio...

I can handle them on shuffle, but listening to their new cd all the way through is kinda boring.  They need to diversify the pace and mood of their songs...too gloomy throughout.  Still, their new album "Return to Cookie Mountain (?)" is one of their best efforts yet, aside from the "Young Liars" ep.  Satellite is a radical song.

i listened to their new record for the first time today.

eh.

i understand why people are so excited about 'em-
one dude has a pretty great voice, and they stir up quite an unusual racket.

but i didn't hear one real tune, or hear anything
that made me wanna jump up and do anything,
and really, i need music to provide at least one of those two things.

experimentation is great and all, but i like MUSIC.

pretty good band, I really like that song "Staring at the Sun" but seeing them play live was pretty boring...
some bands are just better to listen to at home or on the road or whatever, but not as a live band

but that's just my opinion, maybe you'll enjoy them on the 26th, have fun!

i'm gonna have to say that they are actually an amazing live band, mainly because they did superb versions of "blues from down here" and "ambulance" when i saw them.

I love that "a method" song. I kept hearing it all the time when I spent a month in mexico, so its probably mostly memory-based-stokedness...
