Good bushings?
« on: September 15, 2010, 09:07:31 PM »
I've come to realize that my bushings are currently too fucked up to actually skate and that I will, for the first time in my life, have to actually buy a new set of bushings. I want to be able to turn, but I also want my board to feel stable and even (I.E. not leaning towards one side constantly). Any recommendations?

I still have the bushings that came with my Indy's. They're good but I'd really like to try Bones Mediums. Lots of people seem to back them. I need a softer bushing, anyway. Indy's stocks feel kind of hard.
or maybe its because your fist has to first be purified in the waters of lake minnetonka before it can touch dylons.

I am also a fan of the bones mediums. They're worth the money.

Do you skate them without the bottom washer?

I tried the Bones mediums in my thunder hi 147s and had a problem with warping after one skate. The space where the bottom bushing comes into contact with the hanger is shallower than on low thunders, so it didn'y fit snug.

So I ended up swapping them over to my cruiser board, great response and snapped back into shape, which gives a nice snappy feeling on tricks, didn't realise the difference bushings can  make.

Bones will fit them yes. It'll be a a little hard to get them in though. If you have trouble pop the piviot cup out and put them in. Let them sit there for a few minutes, then take them out again, put the piviot cup back and set up your shit. Doing that will help to smush the bushings so they'll fit because you won't have to much space on the kingpin at first.
