I really fucking hope they rerelease the first shoe! I'll definitely buy a brown pair. Got two pairs of the black leather ones, one black suede pair and one of the fog colorway. Lovely shoes. Haven't skated any of them cuz I dunno what I'd wear to the office or other occasions where I want to look smart casual if I happened to run out of these.

Yeah, the Gillette was released at a terrible time considering it was around Austyn's insane knee injuries.  Would be cool to get a rerelease because I also want a pair of black ones for work.  But if a better Gillette 2 is released, that would be cool too. 

Basically, it's insane he doesn't have a pro model out and Huf needs to fix that.

I know the first three colors did well at the shops around here. They pretty much sold through the runs quickly, and I know online they sold out relatively quick. I think the key is with this shoe is if they rerelease it (which would be great), keep the colors consistent, always have a basic one available or try to with every season. Plus, as previously mentioned, Austyn only started skating the shoe and pretty much again in general once it got canned form the line.

I tried on those Gillettes at Ross thinking they would be alright for work.  They were so uncomfortable and cheap feeling I passed, even at $20.  You're better off getting real dress shoes.

Also a limited reasonable quantity would be interesting... or Austyn putting out a part.

The leather versions especially require quite a break in time. They don’t feel cheap at all to me. After the break in I think they’re lovely shoes. I wouldn’t want to wear dress shoes for work and be Mr. Fancypants. I guess there are quite a bunch of non-skate shoe options between casual and formal too if they never remake the Gillettes. 🤔

As everyone said I used to wear them in my previous job almost everyday for like two years and they're still looking good.

The leather version is really well made, maybe a new version could have better cushioning for the rest is perfect.

Tony Hawks upcoming pro-model is the most interesting shoe in years? What a time. Flaco 2 looks good aswell. I will not be purchasing any of those Adidas from my local Zumies, thanks.

If marketing does its job correctly, then there are a lot of overweight, balding guys who used to skate in the 80s that would purchase that shoe. I don't fall in that demographic, but would possibly buy them as well based on my appreciation for vintage airwalk designs

Everything other than Birdman's shoe, every other shoe in that catalog might as well be the same shoe. I like the Airwalk nod but will not purchase.

They are both phoning it in.

Who the fuck is going to buy those Tony Hawk shoes. That being said I do kinda fuck with the Flaco 2. I'm on my 4th pair of the flacos now.

The Proto would looks better if there wasn't that extra panel over the toe and was just either cosmetic stitching and completely one piece or a double layer of a suede toecap similar to the Flaco II (which looks terrible by the way).  And the sidewall of the cupsole looks super cheap.

yeah, actually the city cup and the 3ST series did look like they were about to bring the goods but here we are, back at floppy vulc shoes ... I was hoping the 3MC at least had some hidden tech or whatever but that tactics review makes them look terrible.
