Has this already been discussed? Seems like someone started a brand and didn't realize getting people to endorse your products who haven't been relevant in skateboarding in decades never ends well. On top of that, you'd think if you're trying to associate your brand with skateboarding that you wouldn't name your main shoe after one of another major brand's best selling models... wow. Even did a Wino slip.

Edit: I'm a noob who didn't realize that's actually the name for that style of shoe in general.

I don't usually like Lampins, but those look good. Between the fat laces and the updated foxing, those look a lot more like Vans from the 90's than the previous Pro Skate Lampins.

Has anyone posted a picture of the heel shank in the new Vans Skate line? That's the update that interests me the most.

Maybe few more years and they start reissuing those

It is a cup but thin (i thought it was vulc tbh until i looked it up) and it's not pretty

but the DC Pure was one of my favorite shoes from that era. lasted forever. Never seen rubber that tough. would recommend

Have you guys seen these?  Someone sent the link to me, mainly for the Half Cabs (which are about the only shoe that has a thick tongue nowdays and doesn't need the extra) but interesting if you are into that sort of thing.  I have been using old Half Cab tongues for a long time in all my shoes because I have flat feet and need the extra support top and bottom, but I recall lots of dudes doing this over the years with any old tongues in their shoes to get that look.

Yup. Etnies used to make them in the mid 90's - same style with the elastic band so you could slip it over the tongues of your shoes. Those Puffrite one's are too much for my tastes though - I use tongues from the remakes of the Sal 97's which are much slimmer, but super comfortable. I'm also flat footed and need to fill that space in a shoe or else they have to be football laced. Even with extra tongues, my shoes just look normal. My feet are like flippers, lol.

Never seen them in real life, but when I re use old Half Cab tongues, I hold the tongue in and it sits down under the other one and I have the laces done right up so the shoe is snug, not just the lower laces with short or cut off ends.

There looks like there is a strap or something, maybe even elastic to go over or under strapped on to the existing tongue which would make sense.

I recall dudes would have to keep putting the old tongues back in to their shoes as they would constantly be coming out back in the 00s if they didn't have them done up tightly.

Yes - people always look at me weird when I tell them, but I am not going for puffy looks, just to have the shoe laces sit where they should as they do on their normal feet!
