I’m pretty sure something changed in the Rowans. Width, insole, etc.

My first pair was the oatmeal/dark gum colorway which is a “newer” drop. I fucking loved them, even just walking in them, right away.

Then a few weeks ago I bought the pine colorway, which, correct me if I’m wrong, was an older drop. It fucking hurts just standing in them.

I had the green ones. I have a red pair on deck that seems a little more substantial, so you may be right.

Unpopular opinion: those black/white Emerica Tilt vulcs are the best looking Emericas I’ve seen in some time.

The vans w insoles are weird, my kyle walkers sucked for like 3-4 weeks and now they feel pretty good. Almost too floppy now... idk what the deal is. Those insoles are inconsistent, maybe microwave the rowans 😅

i have the 1st iteration of the rowans in that blue/mirage color and i think theyre fucking awesome.  super comfy and still durable.  i'm assuming the newer models are the ones that have firmed/stiffened up?

I had the mirage and also the black and white that were both in the first batch. They feel different. Mirage was softer and wider? The black and white were narrower and more form fitting. Both were comfy for me tho. I think it has more to do with the materials? The mirage had that thick canvas on the side and the sued on the toe was fuzzier than the black/white ones.

I had that first brown colorway and it was really tight and uncomfortable along the tongue stitching and if you change the insoles out to something thinner, the crease would pinch and your ankles would be too low and they’d rub against the side too much

Rowans were probably the best shoes I’ve owned in years. i did wear them a lot when I wasn’t skating so didn’t really feel the break in period

This guy gets it. You can wear your shoes before you skate in them. This way, they form to your feet before you start fucking them up.

Had 2 pairs of Rowan's, both the mirage colorway.
First pair was great second felt like shit, add that they did that skate checkerboard line with higher prices so Vans is not getting any of my hard earned ever again with the only exception of Half Cabs if I can find them for a decent price.

These look like the armor the Nilfgard wear in the Witcher. Burnt wrinkly scrotum texture. I looked up the girl who designed these and she can skate but why is she so hyped? She does a lot of 50 shuv outs. Way better female skaters out there.

I skated my rowans right out of the box and they were amazing. I put them on and was skating them probably 5 minutes later. First try kickflip in new shoes is always a good sign. I also had that blue pair from when they first came out and I haven't seen any of the pairs since in person because I've been skating alone mostly.

I have to agree those beatrice shoes are ugly. Which is weird because she seems cool and to have good taste.

I'm having a hard time imagining her coming up with something so goofy looking, these look like deklines. Maybe they had this design around and just threw her name on it.
