I kind of dig the tech vibe from them. As much as everyone hates es here, at least they are trying something rather than another blazer colorway for the one millionth time.

I kind of like them too. They remind me of the stuff Skatan was posting in the design a shoe thread. Skatan don't hate me for saying that.

I actually enjoy the christian flores reviews, he is a lot less cheesy and more in depth on the testing.
Although I do feel there is a certain level of cheesyness required to be a youtuber who's getting any views in these days of algorithm clickbait based traffic :/

Yeah id be lying if i said i didnt check for his reviews, theyre usually pretty entertaining he just has some weird criteria for what makes a shoe workable or not (not flexible, insole somehow has to be better than dr schols, gets overly annoyed w/ laces ripping etc.)

I think its funny he thought half cabs were unforgivably ugly but was super hyped on the cariuma logo

Ahaha all good man… that was 5+ years ago! Everyone did their fair share amount of mistakes. 

No, but for real, those éS are butt ugly, and I do like the Karhu’s. That sole unit will make any shoe look terrible, so that doesn’t help. I really wish éS got their shit together tho.

It reminds me of two Kanye shoe incidents:

1) when he wore that model Kahru and it sold the fuck out shortly after then seemingly everyone in the US forgot about it as a brand

2) he wore half cabs a couple of times and there was a lot of speculation he was going over to Vans

I don’t follow that world at all, just funny that those two things managed to break into my bubble

Those eS aren’t nearly as terrible as you all are making them out to be, ill reserve judgment until I see some more colorways. (All black with natural gum hits would look fire imho)
As @Sk.A.T.A.N mentioned it’s mainly the outsole, if they were on a swift outsole, they’d look super clean!!!

He's apparently selling "indestructible" shoes laces himself, that might be either the cause or result of this annoyance...

The slanted and bumpy heel makes it look like the upper is sinking into the sole. Still, a pair of tan Evants would've been nice.

I love those eS joints honestly. I just wish they did the "inside lace up system" they have on other shoes like the Evant since:

I'd rip apart the bands of fabric that have the lace loops cause of heelflip tricks and be fucked later on with no way of lacing up

And

Whenever they do a tech shoe sorta aesthetic the inner lace system looks fuckin cummy imo
