You’d think Job One for an athletic shoe company would be make a shoe that doesn’t fight your foot when you wear it and then move on to making them look good.   I have normal feet but half those shoes hurt to wear and the majority of the pro insoles make the shoes impossible to wear without swapping out insoles

It sucks cause Vans were some of my favorites back in the day. They fit on my feet perfect but everything else about the shoes destroy my feet. I'm glad I finally said enough is enough with them and moved on to NB#s.

I actually thought that Lucien as “creative director” of DC shoes (or wtvr his title is) was quite a refreshing thing to see and gave me some hope… but now seeing that the collab with his own brand is putting a bastardised version of the Lynx upper into it’s OG sole (honesty sacrilegious) and then just doing some wanna be Virgil action in the tooling is so fucking lame! Not to add that colorways themselves are nothing new either. :'(

They gave him an actual job? Weird. I just assumed this was like any other random collaboration. That sucks to hear while they’re also cutting ties with long-running pros just because they don’t fit the puffy shoe aesthetic but we’re loyal fans.

As someone who fucking loves Yeah Right (my favorite vid of all time) and Lakai I must say the whole Yeah Right collection is pretty bad. I doubt the people who are buying into the whole Yeah Right nostalgia would actually rock or want to buy the shoes.

They should have done like a Staple OG reissue with some logos or something

When it comes to stubby toe shoes, Vans has had a few over the last few decades.

i've heard he's only doing creative direction for DC asia, hence why he had alot of posts in china for a while along with a pop up there
