lol, i just measured according to the last resort chart and apparently i'm a us 7/7.5? the only shoes in size 8 i fit in are cons. 8.5 is usually snug and 9 is like a chiller.
maybe my foot is just too wide, idk.
that seems drastic, hah. but part of me thinks it could be the EU to US size conversion, too. I don't know exactly. You want some toe room so just note that when measuring..
oh for sure. i added 5-10 mm to my footlength. and i know eu to us size can be iffy. i mean, i sold skateshoes for a living for years and fit was always something we'd talk a lot about to customers. you have to know what shoe bags out hard, which ones keep their shape, check out how fits change with rereleases and stuff. you also don't want every third pair be sent back so it's better to be able to note which shoes are tts and which ones run larger or smaller.
japanese size is usually the most consistent, since it's supposed to be an absolute measurement of the inside, but that can be fucked up by the company as well or simply untrue as stated.
but i honestly haven't measured my own feet in like forever, i just always had eu 41-42/us 8-9/uk 7-8, unless we're talking standard chucks. those i had to get in us 7.5.
it's fine though, i hope my local gets them in so i can just try them on. i reckon from the testimonials i'll land on 8-8.5.
