And you will pay AU$170 to $200 for them in Australia.  Shoe prices are getting scary here.

Photo of the removable insole looks great.

I haven't seen them in person yet, but does anyone think the shape still doesn't look right on the new Half Cabs? They tried to make them look closer with the white stitching and laces and removing the foxing stripe, but they still look narrow/slim compared to the Half Cab Classic. Toebox looks narrow, collar looks slim, panels look small. It could just be the photos I've seen, but they still look more like the most recent Half Cab Pros than they do the Classics. Wish they would have made the Half Cab Pro '92 (the Uprise ones) the standard Half Cab for the Skate line.

I was thinking the same thing.  I definitely prefer the Classic over the Pros, so that's what I was hoping these would be closer to.  I need to see them in person or a side by side comparison.

The canvas parts might help but might not compared to the all suede versions I prefer too.

In the bigger pic, the ankle collar and side panel are canvas.

i popped into a vans shop recently to see if they had any of them on display to see how they looked/felt and an employee told me they are having them only in shops for a little bit before they sell them in store. weird that those are the pictures that vans would typically take though, same backdrop and everything.

then he proceeded to tell me that i skate the wrong size board and that i should consider switching board sizes.

Oh yeah, way to lose customers.  I would have loved to ask what size is the "right" size then and hoped he could have given me a long winded but super detailed argument as to what constitutes the right or wrong size before I said thanks and walked out.
