Still, a lifestyle model that looks almost exactly like a popular, signature pro model at the same price point is a little weird
The term, "Lifestyle" when used for shoes/clothes always makes me laugh a bit. Mostly b/c the code for swingers is, "Are you in the lifestyle?"
Just like, "Streetwear." Isn't anything you are wearing on a street streetwear?
Lifestyle just means that they weren't intended with any performance in mind. For example, if you buy a Lifestyle Runner, you shouldn't run in them, you might get hurt even because they just look like a runner but aren't one.
Those Vans are indeed similar to the AVE, but you can kinda see that the Ollie/side area was left quite unprotected for a standard skate shoe. I doubt those would last long.
... and Streetwear is basically a term for clothing inspired by urban culture.
