They don’t make them the same. They always screw them up somehow.

Nostalgia purists want 1:1s or at least damn close to it. Es keeps modernizing the reissues which is a 50/5] to be successful or flop. DC did it right but the market is still small in the chunky shoe buyers since people have largely moved away from it, even in spite of the 90s throwback right now happening across all forms of consumerism.

Don't remember seeing this one. Wino cup Servold. The Provost-Servold disparity in pro shoes is pretty confusing to me.

The Figgy has the same G6 sole as the Spanky/KSL/Reynolds. However, there is a new model out next year with a different G6 sole pattern which gives off a lot of Westgate vibes... for me at least. It looks sick.

Can't wait for the Spanky G6 hi.

Spanky/KSL/Reynolds have that little window on the sole where you can see the Pour-In G6, the Figgy doesn't.
And on the site it doesn't say G6 for the Figgy, just says "Full Length Midsole". I think that they'd put it out there if it was G6

It’s more the upper that reminds me of the Westgate CC. Simple and classic. I’ve only seen the photos a couple of times but if memory serves me correctly they have a rubber toe also.

The sole looks decent. It doesn’t have a runner style sole like the older Westgate’s, but does have some nice flex grooves.

The companies who’ve dabbled have made half assed versions. The only company that made shit 100% accurate was DC and I have hella pairs of Lynx as chillers(tiagos can’t be beat).

Should be arriving in skate shops over the next month.

Replied on the previous page. They've arrived and it's up to the shops when they want them delivered. I will say they should be at most shops and our online store within the next week or two.

Basically a hybrid of the Figueroa and Figgy Dose. Similar Figueroa upper, sock liner and of course the Pour-In G6 Foam midsole.

Anyone know why companies stopped running midsoles when the less techy shoes started getting more popular arounf 2004 or whatever?

Does it affect board feel? Maybe it's just cheaper to leave it out.

I remember when full length polyurethane midsoles were the norm in all good quality skate shoes. Can't remember the last time I skated a pair, it's been a long time.

It sure as hell affects the protection from toe jams...

They've always been available just usually less common. I'd have a guess tho that in the early 00s the general fashion shifted back to classic cupsoles or vulcs particularly in the style of classic vans so people weren't really wanting any visible tech features in the soles and if you cant see it why bother making it at all (altho as mentioned many still did) so the trend became more plain basic shoe but some kind of special insole as a selling point.

I’d even take brown on gum soles (like classic Reynolds 1 Emerica) but black soles are just overdone for me.    Just give some options that aren’t that.

I’m with you.   Last Resort could def stand to reduce their black sole offerings
