A real good "live" version of the classic studio gangster

first song I hear from these guys and I loved it. Reminded me of Muggs' sound in his prime for some reason.

That Game/Anderson Paak collab is fire too, but hearing Paak sing 'stainless on my side' seems out of character for him really.

These are my two favorite mixed tapes and yes I mean ‘tapes’. I recommend trying to locate these tapes—some have been uploaded.

Late 90s is the high water mark for independent hip hop.

Listen to everything from Fondle Um and Rawkus records. Old Bob Ito/Stretch Armstrong shows are also great. That’s what Zoo York used for Mix Tape.

For 90s hip hop you have to listen to the artists mentioned but also this...

Also, pull a list of all hip hop albums that received 5 mics in the Source. All the classics were reviewed in the Source.

Pace.

I'll check out TPIM.  Hitler wears Hermes 7 has been in the rotation regularly.  I got into this shit when someone posted "Supreme Blientele" over a year ago.  Tana Talk 3 is great as well.

Listening to UGK - Ridin Dirty after seeing the recommendations above.  This is definitely a gem that fell through the cracks for me until now.

They announced a remaster of some old video game called Kingpin Life Of Crime, that reminded me of these Cypress Hill tracks that were featured in that game.

21's I am > I was album is filled with cuts

This track contains the sample of Samba Pa Ti by Santana, the song in the Toy Machine Welcome to Hell credits with Jamie on that long rail in chicago in slow mo

I have a guilty pleasure for travis scott, who basically takes over the later half of the track and goes insane... he has a super sick sound currently
