Yup. Never should have tho, Chip Tha Ripper was way more marketable. How the hell can he call himself a king? How many albums has he put out? Where's the riches? I ain't hatin on dude cuz the one verse I heard from him went kinda hard but still...

King chip has WAAAAAAAY better crossover capability than chip rip. I'll miss it but it makes sense. The word King itself is ubiquitous in everyone's lexicon, from the valley girl to the bro's to the hood niggas. 'Ripper' only gets a reaction out of the underground types.

And what's up with Azelia getting that beat for the Jim jones diss from ARAAB MUZIK? Did he have a falling out with Dipset? I thought he's die with a Dipset chain on.....

Kendrick Lamar feat. Young Jeezy - "Westside, Right On Time" (prod. Canei Finch)

http://soundcloud.com/topdawgent/kendrick-lamar-westside-right

This track is fire. Stoked on the Jeezy feature as well. What's crazy is that Canei Finch flipped this sample even better than 9th Wonder himself, and I thought that shit was hot already. Hopefully this'll get his name out there more. I once found some of his old beats on some site awhile back and thought he had potential. Good to see him comin up.

Also, since enough time has passed to digest the album, let's talk about this shit....

Ima keep it real. I do like a handful of songs here but this shit definitely didn't live up to the hype & expectations. Don't get me wrong, Dope Peddler, Birthday Song, Can't Stop Me Now, & Money Machine get played on repeat but honestly dude should've came harder overall. I don't expect to be lyrically enlightened by a 2 Chainz verse, but he started to get TOO repetitive. Too many "Hard like Viagra" and ceiling missing punchlines and unpolished songwriting. For example, I heard the original version of "Like Me" when he dropped it on Twitter a while back & it only had one verse. It's obvious that they saw he had a banger on his hands and had him do another verse to make it an album cut but dude wasn't NEARLY as on point during that second session. Ima songwriter breh, I can EASILY tell the difference between a finely-tuned verse and quickly writing filler bars to finish up a song. I feel like he should've taken this project more seriously and polished everything as much as possible. That being said, it's still a decent album but T.R.U. Realigion is still his best body of work in my opinion. I give a 7.5/10 overall.

I ain't gon' knock em like that tho, cuz I know how nowadays the hype train usually distracts artists from delivering on their debuts (i.e. J.Cole & Drake) so hopefully he come thru with a classic on his 2nd album. Dude's still 35 tho, so ummm...hopefully he'll develop more as an artist before it's too late.

i've had the whole album on repeat since it leaked, and probably will until his next mixtape drops, he has to be the most quotable rapper out. i dont know why countdown was a bonus track though, that should have been his next single i bet it would have been huge

He shoulda just made his album like his mixtapes and it woulda went 10 times harder and still sold just as well.  He also could have just said "YEEEUUUH 2CHAAAIIIIINZ" repeatedly over drumma boy beats and it still would have sold just as well.  He's livin the life

Robb Bank$ - Refined

Dudes new tape is going to be so good if it's got the same production as the rest of his newer stuff.

That A$AP mixtape was ok. Some good stuff but some bad stuff. Hope Rocky's stuff stays consitant unlike this album. And never got into Slaughter House at all. Maybe its cause I hate Budden.
