Why? Intelligence is influenced tremendously by heredity and the environment where a kid grows up. Dumbasses don't just pop out of no where. People reflect their environments. Not that I want to side with that asshole at all, since I don't think Forrest actually is unintelligent, but what about downs syndrome or other forms of developmental disability? There definitely is innate intelligence, that is, the ability to learn quickly or not, though with extra work almost anybody can become very smart and well-read.

Of course those are biological factors. But they are biolological abnormalities and not actually from your heritage. When I hear people talk about heredity and intellegence there are usually linking it to race, which is bullshit. Even if they aren't talking about race it's still incorrect, you can't have "stupid gene" passed down to you.

I agree and completely disagree with everything he is saying. Mango is dumb as a goddamn box of rocks, but nobody is questioning his family or neighborhood saying shit like "he doesn't want to get filmed because he is lazy, and obviously comes from a family and neighborhood filled with people who can't take life seriously." Or "You can tell he is always goofing around because of something innate inside of him"
I just want to kind of stay on the sidelines a bit for my reputation of being the "Al Franken of the message board"
