It was lame as fuck when Forrest didn't even bother trying to skate the flowershop, and its lame as fuck now that Matty wouldn't skate a skatepark.
they should both just focus their boards, hug shirtless, and feed each other Reynold's fruit while the rest of the gang leaves them behind.

i rolled my ankle pretty bad at that park too, but that was at night and i was high as fuck. my favorite trick in that sub par ep was definitely mattys wallride. i think john couldve done something else on that rail

Damn thanks for clarifying COTG, it's good to know that you got the specs of all the OIAM skaters. It's crazy to think Forrest and I are the same height, I'm pretty short, maybe his skating makes him look taller.

Maybe it's just me, but seems a little weird to go to a park with as many cool lines & obstacles as the SC park & spend the whole time ollieing off the top and skating the pipe.... woulda thought there'd be more footage from the "street" side of that place...

Does Nick just not skate anymore? That guy's just been super lame the whole time, other than that back tail at the ditch. He looks pretty tall, and seemed to carve around the flower shop okay, so not sure why he didn't even participate in the sticker contest. I was expecting it to be between him and John.

I agree that the way John just sort of stood up and stuck it on the wall while his board was at like 8:00 was pretty lame. Definitely used his height.

Not sure why everyone's saying John hasn't done shit. He's gotten something decent done at pretty much every spot, other than a couple of the hammer zones. He got that 180 over the rail in one of the first episodes, ripped the flowershop (although Matty had the best trick, IMO), did a couple sick tricks at the ditch, did that high ollie to 50 or 5-0 (can't remember) at the oakland diy spot, did the fakie ollie down the stairs that Forest bs heeled, and has done something at every spot since then other than clipper (I think). That 50 to tailslide at 3rd and army seems to have gone unnoticed, but was pretty dope, IMO.

Mango did some good shit in this one. Surprised he landed that drop at the park and Reuben didn't. Surprised no one's mentioned his " 'sup fag?" comment. I was expecting that to stir up some message board drama.

Is there anyway to give people "props" on here or whatever it's called? Because that thing sweatercuff said about the skatepark not being like your molesting uncle was fucking hilarious.

I gotta admit I got my hopes up for some rad footage at that park also. big letdown. also nobody noticed that gonzo looked way more uncomfortable than Forrest on that sticker contest. and I think they probably took the winner to this bomb ass ice cream shop in santa cruz, its right when u get off highway 17 but I can't remember the name of it.

below screen grabs of everybody's carves at their peak. mango definitely came pretty close to john, but i'd say john edged him out by an inch or two. however, the way we worded it was "high sticker slap" and not "high carve", so john definitely takes it. in the next episode he talks about is height advantage in the sticker contest, but either way it's safe to say john won it fair and square.
the plan was to take the winner to marianne's ice cream in santa cruz, which really is the best, but the last spot we skated was far from there so we ended up going to mitchell's in SF on the way back, which is a close second. i believe he opted for the grasshopper pie- mint chocolate chip with oreos.

yeah, it sucked that rail had just been re-knobbed. we did not have a grinder and it would have been sketchy to do in the middle of the day anyhow, plus we were trying to get to a last spot by a certain time. that'll come in thursday's episode. anyhow, john's f/s board, matty's wallride and mango's lines all happened in about 5 minutes while we were getting ready to leave. it was cool they all happened spur of the moment.

as for nik, he kept falling on the same injuries over and over and getting re-hurt and bummed and he was just mostly over it because of that, which sucked. i had high hopes for him, but it just wasn't his week.

And John's wallride was pretty rad i thought, that screengrab makes it look even gnarlier, tippy toes, board sideways. It's alot safer keeping your body tight and doing it the way everyone else was.
