How do you know they didn't, just because it wasn't edited in? And for that matter, what is the above supposed to mean--that Forrest is too intimidating to say things to his face--that Nick dude looks like he'd break that little troll in half.

It takes far more effort to act like Forrest--meaning feel and act threatend by anything and anyone that is different than you--than it does to act like all of the rest of the dudes in this.

Some people are genuinely just content, and consequently everyday and everybody are a blessing, and are treated accordingly.

Forrest acts like the only way he can see himself, is in the eyes of other people, and to someone like this (of which there are a few in here), any amiability on someone else's part needs to be synonymous with "dickriding," because to acknowledge the goodness in other people's tolerance and open-mindedness, would be to say a bunch of gnarly things about oneself.

im glad forrest made it that far, i think matty should have too. thank god i dont have to see mango trying to act funny anymore. i love the fact that skateboarding has degenerated so much from its so called "punk rock" roots to the point where you have to smile and give each other flowers and reassurance constantly. who gives a shit about forrest's attitude. god damn. so hes a little cocky, hes young, get over it. these others guys are just saying please and thank you because their mommies told them to if they want something. i guarantee if they became pros, they wouldnt be nice to everyone they met. theyre just trying to say the right thing. i like the idea of this kind of contest, but i could do without the sanctimony. the shit whittely said to forrest should be said in private, out of respect. this isnt fucking project runway.

You kind've expect an experienced filmer to not be in the way on an obstacle like that. I mean if you have the shot framed, you don't even need to be looking in the viewfinder (imho).

I think Forrest was kinda right about John, he is super sick, but dude, you are not Cardiel, flip it up, U cant break through in 2011 by doing frontside airs, do some kickflips dude... But other than that, he is gnarly. And I think Matty should be in finals, he skated great, at almost every spot and has a great personality.

Dude heelfliped that big 3 on the first day, one of the few gaps that Forrest didn't skate.

When you keep in mind that the prize is becoming a representative of a company, I think it's pretty fair to make those critiques. It's not like Mark has no industry experience... he knows what he's talking about.

As far as the other dudes making negative comments about Forest, that's their thing but I'm not really into saying negative stuff on camera if the person isn't there. But that's the perception they had, and if Forest can vocalize that some of the dudes are weird (his opinion) it's fair enough that they'd think he's an ass (just another opinion).

Nigger...

...is one of my favorite books, and perhaps an extremely important one as they go through and remove that word from Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn.

The book, Nigger, is written by Randall Kennedy, and is perhaps the starkest and most honest etymological study of the word "nigger" to date.

Kennedy (a black man, and educator at Harvard) argues against removing that word from Twain's books, as it will--among other things--be a form of revisionism that will distort a history that needs to be dealt with as honestly and meticulously as possible, so as to help to prevent it from happening again.

Oh, and by the way, none of the other dudes seem like the kind of guys who would even have that word in their vocabulary. A douche is a douche no matter what kind of predictable, trite, hollow, BET-learned cliches you couch them in.
